Ray Rice was hurt and hasn't been producing. He says he is healthy, so who knows for this week, but if he doesn't do something, the Browns certainly can take this game.

Chargers over the Skins

Looks like that might be the only game in question this week.
 
Finley says he will return from this injury. That is promising.

Also, Jerry Jones says Deion would have stopped Megatron. Lol. I actually would have liked to see that matchup.

Seahawks dropped out early, the Broncos were the only team in the running over the last two hours or so.

Oh well.

I hate the trade deadline in the NFL. Trades never happen. Needs to be more like the other sports, namely the NHL

I don't mind the trade deadline because you can't "abuse" it. Say a team like Denver loses Manning late in the season. Is it fair for them to trade for a good QB that didn't make the playoffs?

I don't think you understand what I was saying. I was implying that the deadline for the NFL sucks because nobody trades in the NFL. The Trent Richardson blockbuster that happened is the kind of thing that is practically unheard of.

In the other sports, there is nearly always a blockbuster trade around and leading up to the deadline. In the MLB you see it, more so in the NBA, and then even more so in the NHL.
Scale is something like this

NHL = dozens of trades around the deadline




NBA = usually a few good trades going down

MLB = also a few trade







NFL = 1 trade a year

That's because most trades happen in the off season.

The NFL is a lot more complicated than other sports. You can basically go from the Yankees to the Astros (are they still a team?) and play the same night.

With the NFL, even a kickoff return has at least ten different ways to be ran and different blocking schemes on top of that. Learning a playbook and all the different reads can take a very long time.

Trades happen in the NFL but they aren't common mid season. You are looking at a lot of lost production and having to pay another player to play while the one you brought in gets up to speed.

I thought you were saying no trade deadline. rudeguy has a good point. It takes a lot of guys to make a football team work. You can't really just jump into a new team and fit in unless you're a kicker / punter or a gunner maybe.

I have no idea how hockey is set up (parents wouldn't let me play growing up, so I never did) and basketball isn't exactly rocket science. Baseball, is pretty easy in almost every position to just jump in to.

LOL @ OP's "how about them Cowboys". The Cowboys fans at work are so quiet and sad. I did watch the last few minutes of the game and the defense blew it, especially when Stafford sneaked a fast one on them at the goal line.

Yeah, the FudgePackers (Fudgies) are probably going to win the NFC North.

Have the Cowpokers recovered from being anally violated by the Detroit Lions again, yet? (The Lions had a huge comeback win against them in the 2011 season thanks to three inopportune Romo INTs.)

Don't be mad when I stated the facts. Lions had zero time out with a little more than 1 minute and still won by several long passes.

The feeling is not mutual, now get lost and stop quoting me, loser. Better yet, go hang out with your hero, Romo the zero. "Birds of a feather flock together".

Not sad, just busy!

After so many win/losses in the last 2 minutes I'm starting to become numb to it. 😉

The defense should be ashamed of that last play. When do you EVER listen to what the other team tells you they are going to do and expect it?
