Like the title says....just out of curiosity, how big were your children at birth?

My daughter weighed in at 9' even and 22" long.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that I think my son will be one of the bigger if not biggest....I'll post that later though if it is beaten by anyone.

Edit: Looks like DJHeater's daughter beat my son.

He was 10' 15" and 23.5". The doctor said that he was the biggest child that he had ever delivered. Oh....and it was "natural" also. Poor Mrs. RightIsWrong!!

He is now 4 1/2 and checks in just shy by an inch or two of 4" tall.

My daughter was the same size. Well she took a shit as soon as she was born so she was only 8lbs15oz. My wife is pregnant now, and the ultrasound Dr said the this one is even larger. They estimated he was was going to be 10lbs+.

7lbs, 12oz. 20.5 inches long.

My wife was told we were going to have a big, big baby around 7 months. We went on a lower carb diet at that point. Not so much as a result of that comment, but as a result of the weight she was putting on. Lots and lots of water retention.

I think scaling back the carbs really had an impact. Went to a real high fiber diet.

8lbs 13.6oz. 20.5" I think was the length (maybe 21.5" was the length? I can't remember). There was a lady a few doors down from us who gave birth the same day, her kid was 10lbs+. That baby was a chunk!

No kids yet....but I was a little over 5lbs. They put my mom into preemie classes even though I was full term. That lasted about 2 weeks before I caught up to my peers.

Ditto, I vaguely remember them babbling numbers at me, but I was still in trauma over seeing the afterbirth come out.

I had a pretty good idea, but, to be sure, I had to look them up (thank goodness for IMAP!!!):

Child 1: Girl, 8 lbs, 4 oz., 18 ½ inches
Child 2: Boy, 7 lbs, 5 oz., 19 ½ inches

I remember when the generic number for baby weight was 7lbs. After mine, this thread, and everyone elses I know, that number seems a bit low. Mine was 8lbs 4oz

Our first daughter was 7lbs7oz, I'd have to look how big. She's almost 2 years old now, right around 32lbs and wears 3T clothing (3 year old) so she's pretty tall too.

Our second daughter was 8lbs6oz, she's just 5 months old now, already over 21lbs, wearing 12mo clothing, she's strong too. She's been using the Jolly-Jumper for a few weeks already, loves it.

First one was 8 pounds 13 oz and a bit over 21" long.
Second one was 7 pounds 14 oz and, crap, I don't remember how long. A bit shorter than my first.

They were both 2 weeks early, thank the gods. They gain about 1/2 pound a week at that point. Both born without drugs. :)

1lb 5oz (604g) and 1lb 13.5 oz (840g), 26 week preemie twins. They'll be 10 months old in 8 days and they're doing GREAT!!! BTW, Duke Hospital and ICN ROCK!

We're having twins too (identical) and my fear is Twin-Twin Transfusion when one baby takes too much from the other. Is that why yours had to be birthed early and what difficulties did you face? We're about 19 weeks right now so we're hoping for the best.
