I think it depends on the time period.

And AFAIK, crude oil can come from any carbon based life form.. that includes plants.

In all actuality the majority of dinosaurs really werent that big (if anyone cares). Most of them were about the size of household pets.

Oil mostly comes from plants, swamps mostly the Pennsyvanian Era not Dinosaurs. But yah we are seriously screwed when oil starts becoming extremely expensive probably 20 years from now then is gone. You think we are in an economic recession hah you aint seen nothing.

Ahh, OK!

So then areas like the North Sea and Gulf of Mexico used to be above sea level and covered with foliage?
