Enermax is probably your best bet with 80% efficiency, unlike most PSUs which go 65%-70% tops. I'm still not sure about the split 12V rail though... I wonder if that isn't self-defeating.

Even 500W is probably overkill, but sometimes it's better to be safe than sorry.

You've got an intel mobo listed with an amd chip. That wont do obviously. I think you meant to add the MSI NEO Plat 2.

I would suggest the 530 watt Sparkle or Fortron psus for 74 or 75 bux. They are gonna give you rails as strong as the Ultra psu's would rated 100 watts higher.

The 12 states 18 to 26 watts but I've seen most poster claim 30 to 33 watts on Hardocp power supply forum. Its a proven and reasonably priced psu.

And just use this site to wattage needs.

Well they probably run at full voltage (12V). When you have a 120mm fan at high RPMs, it's very loud no matter what brand it is. You need to cut the RPMs somehow, for a balance of airflow and low-noise. Fan controllers use resistors to cut the voltage to the fan.

I'll order some silent fans if these prove too loud for me, but like I said I will be overclocking so I need airflow over silence. Also that site said I would need about a 500W power supply after I added in the second GT manually.

I'm going to look at the enermax noisetaker power supplies they seem to be good quality and relatively quite.

I read one article that said AMD users need strength on the 3.3 rail and lots of users say the 12V rail is most important for AMD64. Can someone please clarify?
