325 VA. Seems to be quite atequate and has saved me numerous times. Have short 2-4 sec power outages almost daily here in PBC,FL.

When I get a new one I think I will get a little bigger one, just in case.

650V/A. I tried the drain test and canceled it after 12 minutes cuz the beeping was annoying me. It was only half discharged and that's with the rig listed in my sig attached. I got it thru a Hot Deals tip.

I have two of them APC BackUPS Office models. Can anyone get the program it comes with to work with Win2K? The autoshut down feature that connects to your com port?

Don't think it has been working for me.

CyberPower 1500 VA
CyberPower 500 VA
P/K Blackout Buster 500 VA

I've been very satisfied with all of them; And I strongly recommend the use of a UPS for all systems. The power regulation capability means more for my peace of mind than "soft shut-down" during a major power failure, but it is nice to skip through a temporary outage before you even notice the lights were off - I tend to get a bit absorbed with Counter-Strike . . . :D

TimberWolf: You actually have WORKING CyberPower units? Wow, didn't think those existed. :D

AndrewR:

No problems - ever.

Multiple occaisions of brief power drops without a hiccup; Two times that extended outages resulted in "soft" shutdowns without trouble.

A tech from the local power utility decided to get a UPS for his own systems when he came to change the service from commercial to residential. I was in the midst of a Half-Life session, and he wanted to warn me that the power would be off for about 5 minutes or so - Did I want him to wait so I could save the game? I said go for it, and another UPS believer was born about 7 minutes later (He could hear me playing through the open window while he worked!).

Office 280. Damn thing only lastest 1.5 years, died on me the other day. I'm guessing it's the battery, but it's a POS for spending $75+ dollars on it.

I'm buying a generic surge protector from WalMart sometime this week. I know the BackUPS are better, but I'm sure as hell not going to spend that kind of money on something that dies after 1 1/2 years.

My two cents.
