How big is the Box?

I'm considering purchasing locally either a Samsung or Panasonic 42" flat panel set, and I don't know if I can fit it in my '85 Camaro or if I need to take my Ford 150 (with appropriate packing materials for the truck bed). Can anyone here clue me in on the actual package size of a 42" plasma set?

I don't know if this has been addressed here before, but if so my meager search skills didn't get the correct keywords...

edit: changed 42' to 42" (obviously)

I didn't know if it would stand up in my back seat; that's why I wanted dimensions.

You'll have a hard time getting a 42" in a box in ANY car unless it's a station wagon or SUV. It's the height and thickness. You can always just rent a cargo van or truck from home depot or lowes.

I can tell you a 32" hitachi in the box is 34" x 26" x 8" LWD, if that helps. It just does fit in a back seat.
So a 42" is going to be a lot bigger than that.

I got the box for my 42" in my '06 G6.
🙂
How big was it?
It's a trick answer. He probably took the TV outta the box and collapsed the box.
I've gotten the feeling I should take my truck, with lots of padding and straps to secure the box upright in the bed...

No, I actually fit it in there! The guy that helped me carry it out was surprised as well.
I folded the seats down and put it in through the trunk. An inch or so on any dimension would have cancelled those plans though.
I suggest taking the truck!
