I talked with a friend about a bike speeding 300km/h and what would happened if it crash.I thought it would be 100% sure the driver would die.He said 95%...Can you survive a crash in 300km/h on a bike even with extremly luck ?

>Depends if you hit anything or not. Most bike injuries are from roadrash.>
yes .but if you get dragged on the road from a speed of 300 you might be skinny after that.the suit cant protect that much..?

I've crashed at about 110-120 mph (racetrack). I was sore, but nothing was broken. I saw a guy crash at Daytona doing about 160 mph. He was knocked out, and I think he was pretty beat up, but he was okay. Most (not all) racetracks have enough runoff outside of turns that you won't hit anything if you come off the bike. The same is not true of public roads. It's when you hit something solid, like a wall or a jersey barrrier, that you get killed. Crashes at such speeds are not very common, since you'll be going in a straight line. Most crashes will happen in corners, at lower speeds.

Good leathers hold up remarkably well, and they have body armor. You wouldn't want to fall off a bike at any speed if you were wearing some jacket that you got at Wilson's.

Only if you have on the best protective gear, like racers do, and a nice place to slide without hitting anything as you slow down.

<<Depends if you hit anything or not. Most bike injuries are from roadrash. >>

Not the accidents I have been called for, twisted all up like pretzels. Abrasions, like you are talking about, are more common with slower non-impact accidents. The high speed accidents get abrasions too but the other injuries are usually a much higher priority.

Thanks for the info.Like it thought, the chance on a ordinary road must be 0,00001...

You usually are ok until someone in an SUV runs you over because they are too high off the ground to see your unconcious ass lying on the ground. :(

I'd think that you'd be able to survive so long as you didn't get chunked by a guard rail, or delimbed(is that a word?) by a fence or a road sign.

My Mom was a rural EMT for the local volunteer Ambulance service and she ran across more than one scene where they had to pick up biker bits after the farm fences acted as high speed cheese cutters. Ewwwwww!

pallander: not being mean..just trying to help you out. i don't know if you care or not even, but the correct way of saying it would be "How big of a chance to survive?" I know English is your second language, just thought you might want to know. ;)

If on a road I'd say very high 90's chance of death. You hit a car, tree, anything the game is over and you lost. The only way to survive a crash at 185 mph is if you have on good leathers and you are lucky enough to slide until you stop AND you are very lucky. Those conditions are not likely on a road.

my Uncle was killed by getting hit on his motorcycle. i can laugh because i've been there (and the fact that he phrased it as 'unconcious ass' made it funny, lighten up.)

A dude on a motorcycle forum I visit, had one of his legs taken off by one of those wires that keep utility pools from swaying.
