How big a room do you need for a pool table?

Just curious what the ideal size would be for a room with a pool table in it to ensure there's enough room on all sides.

Honestly though, if I ever happen to own an actual house with a basement, it will definitely contain a pool table, a Street Fighter 2 arcade game, and most likely a Whitewater Pinball machine.

What size pool table?

I'm pretty sure it's an 8 foot table. My friend's brother is trying to get rid of one before he moves... just trying to decide if I'm gonna have room for it... doesn't sound like it though. Spare room is 14x10. Even if it's a 7 foot table it doesn't sound like that's a big enough room based on the link above.

I have to agree with him on this one, but I didn't get into SF2 nearly as much as some people.
