Doesn't the '94 Mustang V-6 have the same engine as the Taurus (same year)??? I remember the HP figure being identical as well as engine size...etc.
Anyways...don't race the Eclipse....that thing will do low 6's 0-60mph.......even if you had a GT you wouldn't be able to beat it in a short acceleration race.....

If you want a real number that's not a ballpark figure out of your ass, it runs about mid 15's for a GS-T, and about 15 flat for a GS-X. Both turbo.
The V6 Mustang runs the quarter in the 17's I believe.

roger thatWow... that's pretty sick. I know 1st generation DSMs ran better than that stock. I just read that a GS-X weighs in at almost 4,000 lbs. Talk about needing a diet.
Your mustang unfortunatly would lose... the automatic transmission is not helping a thing in your situation. All you can do is hope to god that he misses 2nd, and 3rd gear... you might come close to him then.
an Eclipse stock doesnt run a 13 second 1/4 mile. mid - high 14 is accurate depending on all the factors... if everything was absolutly perfect... temperature, tires, track prep, shifting, EVERYTHING... he might get a 14.7 or so out of it.
I run a 14.9 in my neon... * http://www.adamsnow.ca/neon.html * to see mods I have done... and I can hang right beside them if not beat them.
But yeah, I'd just let the kid brag, cause he does have a moderatly quick car for what it is...

He thought he could get in the right hand lane at a stop light and blow past me to get onto the on ramp. Needless to say he was very pissed when he had to get behind me. I saw him pounding his steering wheel and screaming as I looked in the rear view mirror.
So, to make a long story short. Don't do it.

Yes but no one read the second one - in your first post you put turbo'ed eclipse. Some Eclipses do come with turbo's stock though. (DSM) Non-turbo you have a chance, depending on what engine he has and auto/manual. Turbo'ed (like originally mentioned) - you might as well bet money AGAINST yourself
