not as awesome on the projector im picking up this next weekend. 70" screen ftw. and mounted in the bedroom right across the bed 🙂. jokes it mainly gonna be used for movies and tv, but still.
 
Well, porn on a 100" screen isn't too bad. but depending on the porn and such the imperfections will still be there. oh well.

For some of us, the best we can hope for is *.png, or a raw digital camera file, instead of *.jpg.
Or maybe high-quality MPEG-4 compression. 😛

Its the little imperfections that make 'life' worth living, isn't that what they say?

I have a few wallpapers of extremely hot women, but its so obvious that they've been airbrushed to hell that I never actually use them. In contrast, I have wallpapers of women who may not be as attractive, but haven't had their photos go through a Photoshopping. I like those pictures, they are much more 'real' than the others.
 
photos are already "hd". there is hd porn, and well not all porn is filmed through the fuzzy soft focus playboy nonsense. people want a bit of detail...and the girls are actually good looking these days because the industry is so big. plus all the amateur/milf etc porn out there shows people are into more than the airbrushed look

Yep. Aging news anchors and TV stars freaked when HD was coming out. It's also a contributing factor to why soaps are not in HD yet.

If you notice, many times when watching various shows and news in HD, you'll see some very soft scenes, usually when a woman over 30 is shown.

A perfect example is when Sela Ward (Stacy) was on House. It was a bit distracting when they switched cameras between House and Stacy. The House angle was sharp, the Stacy angle was very obviously softened.

We've always seen this in movies. Now it's coming to HD.

Also, HD requires more attention to set detail.

A great example is HDnet's HD release of Hogan's Heroes. Now that the film has been converted to HD, it's crystal clear and looks like it was shot in HD. The sets are so clear now that you can see the snow is obviously spray paint and the cave walls are obviously waded up paper that has been spray painted. The trees in the outside shots in the camp are obviously CA oaks and Eucalyptus. Trees common to Southern CA, not Germany.
 
HD porn is horrible on PC because file size balloons to ridiculous numbers.
Give me faster broadband without a bandwidth cap before more HD porn; sadly the country is going backwards in this area.

I think it's awesome to meet some real life pixelated women. It's a major turn on with someone who's 640 x 480 IRL.
