Tell me about dude, for all the great things about SoCal, we get screwed in the summer. :disgust: I am gonna do an evaporative cooler (bong) tho. Cheap, highly efficient, and combined with direct die instead of an expensive, heat restricting waterblock... well.. I think my cpu temps will do quite nicely 🙂

Bong cooling would be great. I built a 6 foot tower last summer and my 1.0@1.52 1.85v tbird ran 2-3c above case temp. High maintence made me sell it though. Now I just try to keep case temp as low as possible with case fans.

one GIANT fan on the side of the case (side panel off of course)

system temps will probably be higher though 😛

What date is the BArton?? Where did you get it from?? It's very impressive nonetheless. 🙂

sticking an intake fan in my system to let the air move around better(since i didnt have one at all) ,and getting a 1700+ tbred to replace the pally agoia i have that got pretty warm (48c under load, gah)

<--- waiting to see somebody reroute all the A/C ducts with dryer duct in their house to point at their computer, then set the thermostat at 50 degrees so about 35 degree air is constantly blowing at their computer case. =)

Gonna build-up a new system and use an mx-eva3 in it that I've had sitting-around awaiting for a rebuild.

I'm buying a new case to replace my mini case, its a full tower with room for a 120mm fan in the back. Both current 80mm fans either get a well deserved cleaning or replaced with Thermaltake or Antec case fans. I'm slowly seeing my system temps rising, from 34 to 38 now, so I KNOW some of them have sucked too much cat hair to be effective.

DAMN BA heatwave is making my system reboot. CPU temps get all the way up to 52C now and my ram is burning, even with aluminum heatspreaders i just put on two days ago. And my northbridge heatsink is hot like a mofo.

i think my idea about latter Barton's ocing better is valid. it seems week 13 and on are the best ocers

JHC 100 F. on my porch here in the pacific NW. Record setting day.

Called home and told eGG to shut the computers & monitors OFF.

I need more fan CFM, the Vantec stealth WILL NOT handle this.

Eight fans circulating air thru the case but the delta ain't there.

Was stock voltage at 2.33 GHZ w/AXDA2500DKV4D Y820978270090 AQXDA 0315MPMW

slowly crept to 2.25

Is now down. I'm outside with the sprinkler on, misting my bod.

Gotta shut down now, the monitors are killin me.

Oregonian here as well...I treat my computer to a prime95 stressin g to take those temps up...no AC and I am 2 hours into priming with other activities going and no temp higher then 51c under load...
