Hi,

I see a lot of people posting their CPU temps. How are you getting your cpu temps? Are you using a monitor of some sort?

alternatively, you can check somewhere in the BIOS, but of course that requires restarting your computer...

Well.. I downloaded MBM5 and can't figure out why it won't work. My mobo (Gigabyte GA-71XE4 w/ Duron 750) is listed on their site and no go. Any suggestions? I know my other system won't work because it's a Dell and the MBM site said that Dell will not work with MBM.

Out of curiousity I restarted my system to look for the temps in my BIOS. I was able to see a 35 degree Celsius reading for the CPU and a 36 degree reading for the system. I don't know how accurate that is.

Now.. I have Sisoft Sandra, but never trusted the temp monitor because it always seemed high. Right after I booted into my system, I checked Sandra and the reading is 45 degree's Celsius. I find it hard to believe that the temp jumped 10 degrees Celsius after the boot because the system had been running prior to the restart and temp check in the BIOS, so the system was never shut down.

Any suggestions at this point?

Thanks!

Salvador,

MBM5 has some pretty detailed/lengthy instructions that need to be followed before it operates correctly. Hell, I have to reference the instructions if its a few months between installations. If you hit the "help" icon in the MBM folder, it should say "using MBM5 for the first time". If you click on that it walks you through step-by-step. Takes a few minutes the first time you set it up, but its well worth it!
