i thought that during half-time they should've plowed the field off with a 4wheeler with a snow plow on it.... i mean they had enough time... but instead the uncovered the #s and yard markers :disgust:

Wouldn't it be hard to plow that little snow off the turf without damaging the grass if you use a 4 wheeler?

<< drawing that yellow first down line on the field is so complex it really boggles the mind. >>

Anyone with a link to an explanation. I noticed they were getting a little mucked up in the snow. I've gots some ideas how they do it
but it seems the Fstop to the camera would change the effective vanishing point and then the mind boggles.

<< Just on a side note: Is anybody else here tired of seeing Jon Ritchie's bleeding forehead every Sunday on TV? I don't think I've ever seen a Raiders game where they didn't focus in on his face with all the blood coming down. It was surprising the first time, but it's a weekly occurence, so who cares? >>

They even had an interview with him during pre-game. He is not only a weird guy, but he is a boring as hell wierd guy.

From BlueApple's link:

<< Sportvision has all sorts of cool new tricks up their sleeve: technology that measures the speed of a swinging baseball bat, the vertical leap of a basketball player, the height and speed of a ski jumper, and the swerving path of a NASCAR driver. So expect lots more nifty special effects soon, including a "technology enriched webcast" of the Ironman triathlon on October 14th, 2000.
>>

It would be pretty cool to watch an auto race and see some comparisons of the lines that different drivers take into the curves.

(I don't mean nascar - those f*ckers only turn left...)

It could be done. The field is basically frozen so if he drove with a light foot and didn't apply too much down pressure to the plow there wouldn't be a big risk of damage to the field.
