How are these two motherboards different?

Quick look and the audio is not the same on both. Realtek ALC882 vs Realtek ALC892 so maybe a diff rev of the boards most likely. That and the one that is no longer available had free shipping

Go with whichever one you can get a $50 off bundle on. They are both excellent motherboards. Although I don't see why you are choosing a P67 board when you can get a Z68 board for equal or lesser price.

Btw, I'll let you in on a secret. That Sabertooth P67 has well documented sleep issues. I also had my eye on it for some time. But I decided it's price was just too high to justify it.

This Asrock board also looks like a nice one.

Playing around with the P67 version of the Asrock while my Asus is in rma. Nice board so far. Pushes my 2700k to the same overclocks. Takes a little more tweaking than the Asus board but it's doable.

sleep issues meaning?

Most likely goes to sleep but has issues waking back up. Without doing any research on the board most likely it's a pll overvoltage enabled thing....Bug that get's the P67 boards alot it seems.

It has problems going into sleep mode/ hibernating. Most newer Asus boards have a sleep/hibernate setting in the UEFI. This board does not. A lot of people have complained about it. There are ways to make it better but it really doesn't do it easily as it should. Just thought you should know about it. But like I said, don't just take my word for it. You can check Google.

*Edit* Especially for such a premium board, at that price a sleep issue is really ridiculous.

what type of sli am i looking at with this board? its says 2x 3.0 x16, and One 2.0 x16 PCIe slots, so would that be tri sli? edit: i'm using gtx 570, so can i sli with this board. and also on a side note how is the overclocking. i will be using the 2600k

As far as sli goes both the Asus and the Asrock boards are the same. Use the 3.0 slots and in sli they would run at 8x8x the third slot only runs at 4x and could also be used for tri-sli or dedicated physX card I guess.

Both boards would overclock the 2600k just fine. I have the P67 version of both boards and overclocking is very similar as far as overall and voltage required for my 2700k. What's your goal on overclock?

Pretty much just comes down to which you like better as far as features, look, included accessories. Not pimping one or the other as they are both good choices. The Asrock does come with a 3.5" front USB3.0/SSD mount which is nice to have if your case doesn't have USB3 already.

What's your goal on overclock?

how far do you think i could push it? im on an 850watt psu and with two 570's. i did some calculations before and i was fine with an oc of 4.5 but i think its safe to stick with 4? im not really sure to be honest
