I have a A64 3000+ not overclocked with the stock heatsink in a TT tsunami case.
My temps are about 45 idle for cpu and 25 idle for system. Are these high? I don't know what load temps are since i never ran my computer full load yet.

Some may depend on your Core 130nm or 90 nm I amd running O/C at 2607 1.6v stock cooler idle @39c (like right now) max out at 50C MB temp of 26 so I would say you are high but not in truoble yet.

as i am writing, my cpu temp is 36 using mbm5, if your using core center it is 40. From what I have read from posters here, mbm5 is somewhat more accurate. 45 seems a little high for idling but is still safe.

Core Center gives me CPU temps 4 degrees C higher than MBM. I'd say your idle temp is actually 41C, which is good - you have nothing to worry about. That's the temp I used to get before I enabled Cool N' Quiet. With CnQ my CPU idles at 34C now.
