How are these for an aftermarket projector cutoff?

Close, but either one of them is too high or the other is a bit low .. The cutoff line should be about 1" or so below the Headlight Center Line when the vehicle is about 30 feet from the wall and perfectly square to the wall. Also check your left & right aiming, may need just a bit to the right on the driver's side.

I think it's standard practice for the left beam cutoff to be lower than the right - it is more relevant re: blinding oncoming traffic.

That said, I hate HIDs. Cutoff doesn't mean shit unless the road is perfectly flat. If anything, getting momentary hits of your lights as you go over bumps is worse than having them constantly in your eyes.
 
Both headlights need to be adjusted to the right, the beams are being thrown much too far into what would be oncoming traffic.

I have a 2000 mazda millenia with FX45 bi-xenons.

Your aftermarket projectors have too much flare. HIDs need HID projectors. The bowls, focal point, and bulb placement are completely different different for halogen projectors.

HID's are cheap too... www.ddmtuning.com sells them for $40 starting. be careful cause they take a week to ship. Youtube how to projector retrofit

although it is probably too alte to return (purchased before xmas,) can you tell me exactly what parts i'd need to get the cost to be $140???
 
I'm not a big fan of valeo's or e55s.

04-05 clear lensed TSX's are the typical favorites. s2k are the most desired. ls430s are also very desireable. true ZKWs are hard to find and expensive.

The bargains were in 2006 when Infiniti recalled the FXs because the headlights were too bright. They swapped in semi-clear and frosted projector assembilies I believe. So a lot of people dumpster dived and got FXs for free and they were pretty cheap on eBay.

I will say doing a retrofit is a huge project and takes a lot of time. Sometimes it's easier to use an aftermarket housing because the shrouds and everything are there... just remove the projector and figure out how to mount it.

I took a 95-96 millenia housing because they had projectors and baked it for 15 minutes at 325 degrees F. Pulled it apart and removed the stock projector. I had to trim the heck out of the FX to fit in that housing, but eventually got them in.

If your stock housing is reflector based it will be tricky to mount the projector and find the right shroud to cover up your work.
 
retrofitting should only take one weekend to do if youre a little bit handy. I might be doing a retro on my civic with the TSX maybe...
 
Get RX330 AFS, get custom sheild and lens (costs total as much as a tsx clear proj) best bang for buck low beam
It woudl also be better with OEM ballasts and d2s bulbs

damn, good luck!

i dont have any friends that would have the time (or maybe enough skill) to retro fit projectors into my original accord casing.

installation of my anzousa projector housings took about 2 hours.

Well I am getting mine done, labor costs range from 250 - 400 depending on where you do it (I am getting it for 270CDN). I bought TSX projectors

For the labor costs:
They have to heat up your headlights, cut out the old reflector, mount a new one, put a shroud on, possibly blackhouse the lights, aim them, then reseal them

I am getting mine done locally, shipping is what can kill it mostly

customlightz, hidillusionz are some names that do retrofitting

If you do it yourself the parts would be the only cost to you.. I personally think I could do it but I do not trust myself
