Oh a quick browse tells me they are still horrific racist wanna be fascist loons.

Taking another break from politics.

Vote. Get a gun. Learn how to shoot. Keep it in a safe. Cut off hardcore Trumpers from your life. Don't support Trump-owned businesses when you can. Support good organizations like the ACLU.

Back to your regularly scheduled programming.
Well, they can commit felony after felony, curb stomp their own voters, engage in endless grift, and claim the election was stolen, and still get between 45 and 50% of the votes so I'd say they're doing pretty well.

They've already won. They're already remaking the schools how they want. They own most state legislatures and governors.

Dems are utterly ill prepared for this kind of moment and it has shown since 2016.

Apparently, eating their own in reference to the OP.

"They have broken my spirit": Chair of Oregon Republican Party quits over "wickedness" within GOP | Salon.com

"The endless slander, gossip, conspiracies, sabotage, lies, hatred, pointless criticism, blocking of ideas, and mutiny brought against my administration has done what I once never thought possible, They have broken my spirit. I can face the Democrats with courage and conviction, but I can't fight my own people too," state Sen. Dallas Heard, the chair of the Oregon GOP, wrote in a letter over social media.

Why are democrats panicking?

Papa Joe's policies of allowing millions of illegals all over the country and dems support of soft on crime policies that allow smash and grab hold ups and train robberies that make this country look like a 3rd world nation with high inflation surely will help in the mid-terms, correct?

The Republicans dont have a chance against this level of bad governing, do they?

I am looking at what's happening in New York City and Felix is making a point I've been complaining about for a while.

Mentally ill and addle-brained racists have been beating the hell out of Asians in NYC for the last couple of years. Punching older Chinese and Koreans in the backs of their heads, stabbing passers-by, shoving the unwary onto subway tracks and creating a 24-hour state of siege for most elderly is killing NYC.

And I when I mentioned this on various social media platforms, I got little reaction. Then we had former NYPD Captain Eric Adams elected as Mayor. He was even endorsed by the anti-Black top editors of the NY Post.

What does he do against this crime onslaught? Little.

Except smile at press conferences, hire his former cop brother, (who resigned quickly after hundreds of thousands of dollars was discovered in his bank accounts), make deals with folks associated with crooked felons and become intent on forcing school children to eat vegetarian food, whether they liked it or not.

Mayor Adams had to be forced to pay attention to his city where people were afraid to step into a subway station.

And yep, Adams is a Dem.

But the real problem seems to be Manhattan's new Progressive District Attorney Alvin Bragg, who never met a felony arrest suspect he didn't wanna hug. A Bronx DA who misplaces critical prosecution papers allowing charges to be dropped against some suspects. And the arrest of a poop smearing on a woman's face idiot in Brooklyn nullified when the suspect is released.

Who wants to live in a city where going to a bodega might mean part of your head may end up adorning the store shelves because some creep wants to wield a hammer?

Take it from an older guy who was around when "Turn 'Em Loose, Bruce!" was a criminal court judge. This nonsense is gonna get Democrats clobbered at the polls in November.

I thought "Defund the Police" was a crappy slogan doomed to tar the Left. But what's going in NYC is gonna be in every GOP candidate's video pitch. Oh, as well as CRT.

We gotta do a WHOLE lot better.

Yes, NYC is dying. That's why rents are soaring due to demand and prices are just 2.1% off the record set just before COVID (not a number that makes me happy, but counters your right wing talking point drivel. You say you aren't right wing but you sure do repeat their talking points really really well). And since I actually live here and go out in NYC often and associate with people that do, most think your talking points are nonsense too. Yes there has been a crime increase but it's still far safer of a city than it was not that long ago, when it was considered NYC's rise to form again. People are out in NYC enjoying the heck out of it while you parrot FOX news talking points. Adams is implementing policies that are clearly anti-crime, let's see how he does. I was hoping for Garcia but he is what won.

Defund the police was a terrible slogan which I hate, but it did not represent the democratic platfrom - it was a slogan of a small but vocal far left segment that got amplified by the media when literally almost zero national Democratic candidates ever pushed for it, but somehow it was associated with the entire Democratic party. Again, right wing propaganda aided by the mainstream media. Also CRT is a completely right wing made up story, to consider that a weakness of the left is just so dishonest. I'm starting to think that is your best foot - dishonesty.

.

Manhattan rents increased by an almost unprecedented 23% last month
So much for New York being dead.

A mere two years ago, many people were pronouncing the death of New York City. We wonder what they'll have to say about this new bit of information: Manhattan rents surged by 23% in January compared to the same month last year, inching very close to record highs set just before the start of the pandemic in 2020.
The exact figures are reported by real estate appraiser Miller Samuel in a new survey of the city's real estate market.

According to the report, the number of available apartments for rent has also drastically decreased. In January of 2021, a total of 25,883 units were listed. That number dropped to 4,316 in January of 2022. That's an 83.3% decrease and, yes, that is a lot. Not only are apartments more expensive than almost ever these days, but there are also less of them available around town.

But wait, there's more. According to the reports, the record high median rental price ever for an apartment in Manhattan was $3,540 in April of 2020. In January of 2022, the price was $3,467—that's just 2.1% less than the historical record.

StreetEasy also released a report regarding the subject last month, detailing similar trends. "The market is in the process of normalizing after nearly two years of uncertainty," explains StreetEasy economist Nancy Wu in the report, which you can read in full right here. "That's good news for the city's recovery overall but, understandably, many renters or hopeful renters might be feeling uneasy right now." She's clearly talking to us.
The reasons behind these massive changes are varied. There have been concessions that the government has given out to landlords that are set to expire, for example, and folks who had moved out of the city during the thick of the pandemic are bracing for a return to the island. As a result, there is less inventory available, a fact that allows those who do have apartments to rent out to increase their prices given the higher demand.
What this all means to you, fellow New Yorker, is that you can comfortably go back to screaming about rent prices being too damn high—while simultaneously listing the reasons why you will never move out of here. We may live in one of the best cities in the world, but it also happens to be one of the priciest.

William Barr has been making the rounds pushing his book. First comes the buyers remorse, then comes the book.
So Barr says he will work to support anyone but Trump for 2024, but if it is Trump Barr will vote for Trump. That kind of logic is a desperate call for physiological help and just shows how screwed up Barr has been all along. Explains his actions during his Trump tenure as AG. Barr claims the republicans have a lot of good qualified people to run in 2024. That sounds pretty scary. qualified people like who? People like Marjorie Taylor Greene? Ron DeSantis?
It is hard to believe that come 2024 we could get a president even worse than Donald Trump. It is possible.

^This sounds like a reality TV show/ situation comedy:

I will call it (Not Your) F-R-I-E-N-D-S, starring Jussie Smolett as Mayor Adams who is getting ready to stage his next hoax crime to get re-elected and Kevin Spacey as a typical liberal democrat who is calling for defunding jails and prisons in the name of social justice.

Ill be there for you!

Republicans seem to do be doing just fine while Democrats have yet to find a message that will satisfy rank and file Dems as well as Progressives.

Elected GOP'ers and their lackeys on cable and the Web will continue vilifying CRT, Black History and of course, endorse their refusal to allow Black citizens to freely vote.

Can't have that! That's not Democracy. That's foolishness.

It's a winning election strategy. Demonize and attack dark skinned people 24/7, select isolated miscreants and heinous criminal acts for endless showcasing. The resulting outrage will reverberate to Canada and back.

The Christian Right and the Evangelicals? They're still busy trying to arrange the End Times, which is why so many hope the U.S. leaps face first into a confrontation with Russia over Ukraine.

They shouldn't fret. At some point, Iran will come in for the same type of near universal U.S. media denunciation that Iraq did.

So all Republican candidates have to do is stay ticked off, but pleased with state by state voter suppression efforts.

They might want to also step up their efforts to highlight the good White guy or gal who "stands their ground."
