Looks like that's a no.

Is it any wonder that Conservative Christians are such a joke?

Why would not anybody who has made a connection to anything external for purposes of whatever one's environment as a child demands that they conform to in order to be accepted and loved not also be considered a joke. Why, for example, would it not be equally a joke to apply the term joke so exclusively? Who among us was able to control how we were raised. How is it any different, for example, to put down buckshot for his refusal to accept evolution than it is to put down the psychologically damaged who can't hold down jobs by calling them lazy. We have all been subjected to brutal cruelty which we have real passion to pass on.

The joker you ridicule at least may believe in a great human being who suggested we throw no stones and take our suffering unrequited and suffer it alone on the cross. There is only love.

Though I'm loathe to appear to support BS24
Does anybody else see the problem with this?
Yes, the problem is your behavior in this discussion. You are a dishonest actor who is not participating in good faith. It is natural for principled people to reject such behavior, and to be "loathe to appear to support" it.

Nonetheless, two wrongs don't make a right. Mysticjbyrd's attempted argument is wrong. His attempts to push it only weaken the arguments of those who challenge you with substantive arguments. Not coincidentally, you continue to reply to Mysticjbyrd while ignoring the meaningful rebuttals. It is one form of arguing a straw man, where one addresses only the weakest argument and pretends to have rebutted all arguments.

That is your opinion but you being loathed to support me, even when I'm right, shows that YOU are not participating in good faith.

Yes, you're principled and I'm not because you said so.
Nonetheless, two wrongs don't make a right. Mysticjbyrd's attempted argument is wrong.
We completely agree and I don't feel a smidge of "loathe" in doing so.

A lot of the replies being made here are made by people on my ignore list so I'm not seeing them.

So you assert things and I'm supposed to disprove them? Why don't you do your own work for a change?

Rofl, that's some Irony..... How many page of sources did you ignore?

PS: You asserted that religious claims aren't equal. Prove it.

Why would not anybody who has made a connection to anything external for purposes of whatever one's environment as a child demands that they conform to in order to be accepted and loved not also be considered a joke. Ease up on the drugs..... Holy shit, what are you even talking about?

No, my argument was correct. You just lack the intellect to see it. You never even gave a real rebuttal other than to say lots =/= near infinite.

100 trillion years is whne star formations cease in galaxies!

He replies to me, because you twats don't know how to counter his fallacious arguments. How many pages did you go on giving him sources? Did you think it would suddenly work?!? Well, it won't!

You have to change the discussion, and talk about the inconsistencies of his beliefs. He won't accept reason either way, but this way you are on the offensive, and he is defensive. He is a lost cause, so don't engage if you can't win the debate, as you just make us look bad.

Ha. mysticjbyrd is just too smart for everybody else to understand his arguments.

Here are things you need to do.

1. Show that all religions are equally as likely true as any other.
2. Show that there are aliens on other planets.
3. Show that these aliens on other planets have religions.
4. Quit supporting Bernie.
5. Show that there are really a "near infinite" number of religions.

No I am not reading their posts. I have nothing to say to CT.

Of course, why would you tell us any details about what you believe? You know it can't help you because what you believe actually is patently ridiculous. That's how everyone knows you're a pathetic hypocrite.

They were all fabricated beliefs based on no observable evidence. There is nothing to prove they vary at all, thus they are all equally likely. It's like drawing marbles out of a bag.

It's arrogant to think there won't be another civilization that exists within the vast universe over the lifetime of the universe.

nonsense

rofl

Near infinite universe over a near infinite time scale.

"So we really do not know if the universe is infinite at this point, but since the value is so close to flat, even if the universe is positively curved and finite, it would definitely be much much bigger than the observable universe."

You have this backwards, you need to prove your religion is better, as you claim. The burden of proof is on you.

Therein lies the rub: "even when I'm right". You are also wrong, which is why I am loathe to appear to support you. You aren't right and I don't support you.

Yes, you're principled and I'm not because you said so.
No, it's because I'm engaging honestly and am willing to reply -- on topic and directly -- to those who challenge me. You hide behind a cowardly (and likely imaginary) ignore list to avoid engaging with those who truly challenge you. Your behavior is dishonest and trollish.

We completely agree and I don't feel a smidge of "loathe" in doing so.

My point exactly. Bad behavior.

His logic is crap, we agree 100% on that.

If I was trolling I wouldn't block people, I'd welcome trolling more people, not less. When a person continually misinterprets my words and attacks that misinterpretation, I put them on ignore. When a person continually insults me personally, they are put on ignore.

I assure you that the list is real.
My point exactly. Bad behavior.
Again, your opinion. I'm not sure how many lies and insults I'm supposed to endure.

Ok, substantiate this claim.

You're now asking him to prove a negative. lol.

He said there's no observable evidence for any religion. If you're saying there IS observable evidence for a religion then the burden of proof is on you to provide evidence. Prove your claim.

Sorry, my friend, but this is what you said, and this is what I addressed:
"Your religion is 1 out of an infinite number created by mankind over the quarter million years or so we have.been around.

"Thus the probability you have chosen the correct one is 1/infinite =0"
That is wrong, plain and simple. It is a fallacy. I know you don't want to admit error, and perhaps you truly don't understand why, but it is wrong.

Perhaps you really meant, "There are a lot of different religions, and there's little chance Christianity is the only true one." That statement would be fine, a reasonable expression of opinion (an opinion I share, by the way). Nonetheless, it is NOT what you said. It is NOT what you asserted as fact. I am addressing what you said, not whatever you think you meant.

Would you like to recant your earlier statements, acknowledge your error, and rephrase your point? Until you do, BS24 will continue to justly dismiss your nonsense while ignoring those who've challenged him with meaningful arguments.
