I have to repair and repaint a dented area of my Jeep.
As it is a 2000 model lease I want to make sure I get a good job done.

I got a few prices and MAACO were comparable....in the $230 range
I am very wary of chains for car repair...but in saying that they should have a better setup and equipment that Joe's Back Yard Autobody. The smaller places I tried were very unhelpful and not very willing to even give me a quote.

Anyway.....I don't know who to use....anybody have any experience with MAACO?
LMK
Thanks

I had to have MAACO redo my ex's car three times at their cost, because they did such a crappy job.

Didn't have any body work at Maacco but had my old 1989 Dodge Shadow re-painted at a Maacoo in NJ. Cost about $350 and they did a great job for the money. It has been over two years and they did a good job. No complaints. It really cleaned up an otherwise well running car.

Of course I have heard horror stories about Maacco too but the owner/manager was really very professional and conscientious. Your mileage may vary.

damage is not too bad.
my wife and I were both leaving at same time in separate cars.
ONE of us must have touched the gagrage door remote, as it started closing just as I started reversing.....crunch.
So I have a dented area of the trunk and paint chipped off....oh, and a broken garage door - but thats another story

Maaco is good at what they do. Which is a quick in and out paint jobs. Just like Earl Scheib. I had a 1988 Chevy Blazer with faded paint. I prepped the car and had them give it one of their $200 paint jobs. It looked sharp. I immediately sold the vehicle for a good price. Do not go to them for body work, or to change the color of your car. Go to them to repaint your car the same color. And don't expect the paint to last that long. At this price, do you expect them to use the highest quality materials? Of course not! They use cheap crap, but good enough to sell the car.

I've always had good work done by the dealer's body shop. Both on my Ford at two different Ford dealers, and my mom's Buick at a Buick dealer.

If the dealership does not have a body shop (many don't), find out who they use, and go there. In my area, many dealerships use Abra and LaMettry's. One of the Abra managers had an office set up right inside the dealership. He was very professional, and the cars all looked like new when he was done.
