I'm buying new car.

i'm looking at either a Hyundai Elantra GLS hatchback, a Mazda3i, or a Civic LX.

The Elantra has $1750 rebate. plus i got a price quote in writing from a dealer that's $1000 below invoice (before reabte).

But i prefer to buy at the end of May since i dont want to rush my research.

How are car sales going in April? Do you think Hyundai will keep up the $1750 rebate in May? Do you think Mazda or Honda will start offering rebates in May?

THX

but the mazda is $5k more than the elantra! 11k (after rebate) vs 16k!

dont know if i want to pay 40% more for something i view as just getting me from point A to point B.

As much as I agree with Skoorb on the choice of car...just get the Elantra as the Mazda will be wasted on you. You are perfect for Hyundai.

hm.. you may be right Pete. for me, the purpose of a car is pointA to pointB.

there probably wont be a difference in excitment level whether i buy the mazda or hyundai. with either, i'll get that "new car" exceitment feeling, then settle back to my old ways after a few weeks. :(
