Last gf was from an old karate school, we trained a lot together and she suggested a movie, we weren't both sure if it was a date or what but the whole end of night kissing thing pretty much answered that question.

I met my wife at work. It will be 5 years in March. She doesn't work where I do now but we're still going strong.

My wife and I had somewhat of a whirlwind romance. We met on a flight from Mexico City to L.A. she was traveling to Sidney and I was returning from Cancun and we met on the leg from Mex City to L. A. After conversation on the plane, I asked her to send me a postcard from Sidney, which she did, and then it just developed from there.

Our first date was in Chicago when she was there for 2 weeks during a seminar. I conveniently arranged a business trip there for a few days and we went out on the town for a couple of nights. She told me that she never believed I would show up in Chicago but at that time she didn't know me and didn't know that I would do crazy things just for fun. After that, our following dates were in Mexico City, Acapulco, Dallas, Las Vegas, L. A., Veracruz, Ixtapa, Phoenix, Cozumel, Cancun, Toronto, New York, etc. She owned her own travel agency and traveled quite a bit and I would meet her at whichever city she would be at. At the time I was a corporate VP with a rather generous travel expense. :)

That has to be one of the coolest things I've heard. I just dream of going to all those places let alone have dates there, I've been stuck in Florida for the past 5 years

lol that is great :)

I met the current great girl that I am seeing through my roommate, he had classes with her, and they were going to lunch so I joined them. It turned into a daily thing from then.

I met my current wife when she was dating my best friend. We had known each other for 3 days when we slept together for the first time. The next day I was driving with my buddy (her boyfriend) and I said "Hey man I f**ked your girlfriend last night." He said "That's cool, you can have her" Thought I was gonna lose my buddy there for a bit... Kind of a jerk thing to do, but hey, he introduced us.

Edit - We've been married 3 years now and have our 2nd child on the way. ;)

At a bar. We knew each other from before, but never really spoke much. That night at a bar she came up to me and initiated conversation. It turned out we had a lot in common, so the next day I asked her out and she said maybe. That was all I needed.

I lasted, he didn't :(

Edit: Here's a wierd Twilight Zone thing for you...

My ex-wife's name was Michelle. Her ex-husband's name was Greg.
My new wife's name is Michelle. My name is Greg. :Q

After I paid her I asked her if she wanted to get a drink...

Actually she was friends with my mother and sister(I'm 32 she is 39) and we were both going through divorces. We hung out together and dated other people for a long time then one day we decided we were best friends and we were attracted to each other. We got married in September.

Ditto on Instinct's comment above.

Anyway, I met my gf during sophomore year in college - calculus class... I missed class one day and she sat next to me everyday (she still denies that to this day)... so I just asked her for notes from the day I missed. Met up with her at the library (she was the nerd, not me... ever) to get the notes and found out we have similar coursework.

She had a bf at the time, but we remained really good friends and the next year we started dating officially. Will be 4 years come June.

I actually met my baby thru an ad on yahoo! personals. yeah, those things actually do work. first time we met at the airport, I had offered a ride from the airport to UPenn's campus *grin*

Been together ever since, just got engaged and planning on getting married in another year, by then it'll have been 3 years.
