How and where did you meet your significant other?

If you don't have one right now just answer how you met your old gf or bf.

I met the girl I'm going out with now through a friend. My friend and her were friends in high school and it wasn't like a hook up deal but we just had alot in common and took a liking to each other.

E-mail.

If you only count physically, I met her for the first time in June of 2000 in Pittsburgh's airport. I'll be there again on Saturday.

I met her way back in high school. Creative Writing class. I was a senior, she was a junior. I got to leave early, right after that creative writing class. She was jealous. :)

Anyway, that was over 3 years ago now..... seems like a long time.

That's pretty awesome, how did you find her e-mail address and stuff though? Was it through chatting or something?

She had actually been e-mailing a friend of mine, & he wasn't able to e-mail her so he asked me to send her a message. She replied, & we never quit.

They met through a satellite delivered class that was simultaneously delivered to Oregon & PA.

I met mine 7 years ago out at the street races. (I was with my ex-g/f at the time, but that relationship was pretty much already over).

I met my ex through email too.

When I was in college, he entered a writing contest online and I critiqued his story, which was good but had odd punctuation (a stylistic choice, he says *cough*). He emailed me and asked me to edit his stories, so I did. Then I moved to his city (San Francisco) and we hung out... after six months of him being attentive and sweet, we started dating, and moved back here to Nevada.

Have you NEVER been to Lake Tahoe? San Francisco is icky. I didn't live there long, and I was moving to live with a different guy (and shoulda).

well, ok, Tahoe is nice, but tahoe is like .005% of nevada. The rest of Nevada sucks :)

I would still rather live in the Bay Area than tahoe though, it's just too far out of the way for me.

Edit, after looking at mapquest: damn, El Dorado county is big! (friend lives there, and it extends nearly to the nevada border. I'll be in Sacramento starting at the end of January)

I love it here, plus I own a house here which is paid off (which makes paying rent, in any place, really suck). I came from San Diego, now THAT'S a place to live...

Is there anything interesting more than 25 miles from the california border? Nevada seems to be mostly... well, desert. Utah's a much more interesting drive (I-70, at least)

I don't know, notfred, I've never really explored the state much (maybe 30 miles in each direction) and I live like 10 miles from California LOL I don't get out much, I think.
I'm just saying, where I live it's beautiful, and when I was in San Francisco I couldn't see the sunset, and it bothered me.

My other half noticed me first, we became friends, then he emailed me, asking me out for dinner. Got a blue rose that day ;)

My best friend and I were skipping out on a High School assembly back in my sophomore year. His fxck of the week brought over her best friend, and we hit it off right from the get go. Took it slow though, got to know each other really well before we got serious... that was nearly six years ago, we are getting married in June.
