I'm 6'1" or 6'2" and wear size 13 EEEE shoes. I should be about 6'4", but my knees and hips are messed up. I don't consider myself tall because I'm the runt of the family.

6'7. Shopping sucks, clothes aren't all that bad for the most part, but size 15 shoes are fucking impossible.

Wife is 5'11, kids are already huge.

I hated basketball, played hockey mostly growing up. Big reason I stopped (at least as an adult) was the skates were always a size too small and hurt like hell.

Being 6'8", I can say being really tall completely sucks. Nothing fits. Cars? Don't fit. Clothes? Hahaha. Houses and furniture? Yeah, they don't fit either.

And then there's the reduced life expectancy thing.

I'd hate to be tall. I really like being just a bit below average in height. Other than maybe getting something from the back of the top shelf at the grocery store, there aren't very many things in life that aren't made easier by being smaller.

Oh? You do know your life expectancy decreases by a certain percentage for every inch you exceed six foot.

Pft - propaganda research done by a manlet to try and make manlets feel better about getting the short end of the stick in life

Although being 6'0" is a little above average, I still wish I was taller -- maybe 6'4" -- because being taller is awesome and I love playing basketball but am by no means fast or quick.

I am 6' and got plenty of tail in college. That being said, the perfect height for attracting girls appears to be around 6'4". Guys at that height had girls crawling all over them when I was in college.

6’4” and a bit. Wouldn’t want to be any taller, but certainly wouldn’t want to be shorter.

I have always been attracted to tall, slender girls (~5’10”) and my height/build seems to be right up their alley. Not that it matters anymore as I am married...but to a perfect girl who is 5’10”.

Bob Dylan is 5’7”. That’s all the proof you need that height is over rated.

I don't know man. Having to be the greatest songwriter that ever lived just so that your height isn't an issue isn't really a bar that many can reach

....because they are manlets, you see.

Eh, you just have to be a little more vigilant and make sure you don't smash your head against the low-hanging arches and signs and whatever that were designed and built by jealous short people.

Why are you bringing up Paul Simon? He was talking about Bob Dylan (who is actually taller than Simon).

Being short is probably what drove him to success. No way a guy that short was going to score with any women over a 3/10 unless he had bank and the NBA damn sure wasn't an option. Maybe there's a manlet lesson in that, you can sit around wallowing in a shallow puddle of self-pity over being cursed by the height gods or you can work hard to rise above your lowly station in life.

I agree. It seems that throughout history, people with striking negative social qualities: personality, deformed head, vestigial tail, shortness, etc, tend to have had to compensate from their lack of friends and ability to relate to normal humans and with all that free time, end up becoming brilliant scientists, artists, writers, musicians, whatever.

You still have to follow the right path. Go one direction and you're Napoleon or Dylan, the other direction and you're Mayne or Zeze.

Turns out him being manipulative and deceitful, using and discarding people, had a lot to do with his success when he was just another musician. In other words like most “successful” people
