How am I supposed to delegate work when there's no one to delegate it to?

You'd think having the word "Senior" in your title would mean there would be schmucks for me to shove around. I realized today that in my department, I am said schmuck. Of course given the fact that I am one of only two people working on this project, and the other person also is in charge of 2 other... larger ...projects might have something to do with it.
