AS A chemically sensitive person, I found your nearly two-page "advertisement" for the scent industry offensive and frightening ("Scents and sensibility," Life at Home, Dec. 23). These products are not the benign perfumes of old; they are now made of synthetic chemicals not regulated by the FDA. Many of the chemicals are neurotoxins. How about equal time for the growing fragrance-free movement?

Perfume is part of Satan's (and his minions, liberals) plan to lead our young women astray into, uh, sluthood. Scenty sluthood, but essentially sluthood.
