So I started doing cardio two and a half weeks ago. I got an elliptical training machine and started doing 25 mins everyday on level 5 (out of 8). A few days ago I moved up a bit, and now I do 45 mins a day at level 5.

Anyway, I was wondering if you guys could share some good cardio workout tips...

do it first thing in the morning when you wake up BEFORE YOU EAT BREAKFAST

your body will be forced to use excess fat for energy, which is what you're trying to burn off...

make sure your hydrated, u could also go from doing 45 mins for most of the days, but add a quick, sprint like routine to your work out, this will help you shave off more pounds and fat.

Wow, talk about a harsh remedy. Being half nocturnal (most days I do my workout 1-2am at night, in bed by 4), this would be very hard for me.
But I suppose I should try it out for a week or two. Thanks

Many minutes would you say is good, out of 45? I usually do this, but only if appropriate music is playing (dante's inferno really gets me going..heh)

you may want to search "cardio" here. i believe there have been some good threads.

one thing i remember was to be sure you give your body rest. someone recommended alternative an intense workout with a mild workout. i'd search to get the exact routine. good luck!

high intensity interval training

uir doing good, keep ur the good job. but mix it up, do HIIT one day, ur regular 45min the next. jogging rate for 30sec, then sprint rate at 30 sec, jogging at 30sec, keep alernating for a total of 4 minutes. also some others instead of 30sec/30sec, recomment 20sec jogging, then 40 sec sprinting .

Take it easy, starting out with a high intenstity workout 5 days a week is a good way to burn out. Try a more moderate 3 day plan.

dunbar, the chart shows 3 HIIT sessions per week.

iamme, i tried it but could't add anymore time to it. but it is supposed to work great

ur elliptical machine, do light resistance 30sec, then pump up the resistance for 30 sec then go bawls to the wawls.
for the elliptical at my gymplace, its 10 resistannce, and 16 resistance.
