How about my toe Lucky? (pics)

I think I posted about this when it happened over a month ago. I nailed the door jamb with my pinkie toe and it bent to the right at a 90 degree angle, and stayed there. I reached down and set it before I even realized it, lol. :Q

Well that was a month ago and it still hurts and does not, errr, work right anymore. It is weak and flexes funny now. Probably dislocated it from the way it is not working right now, a fracture would (should) work right after this long.

Left pinkie toe, note it is about the same width as the one next to it.
Right pinkie toe, note it is about twice the size of the one next to it.

Keep in mind that I hurt it over a month ago, and I just took those pictures a few minutes ago. Guess I should have seen a doc about it, lol.

(sorry the pics are small, forgot to use the macro and I really don't want to take new pics.)

Too bad I don't have scanned the pic of my toe post-op when I had a nasty ingrown on each side. It looked lovely.

When I was in 8th grade I managed to drop a manhole lid on my right big toe. It actually exploded out the end, after about 25 stitches and 10ft of gauze, they never thought I would grow a nail again. Well turns out I did, but man is that toe ugly, lol.

Ahem, you of all people should know the benefit of seeking prompt medical attention!!!! Go see a doc, it ain't lookin' too good.

Hey, I watch ER...

Well in my past experience as a medic I have been around a few injuries in my day. I did tape it to the toe next to it, iced and elevated it. It never lost circulation so I went with it. If it was broken the splint would work. If it was dislocated, yeah, like I would have surgery on that little dude, not a chance.

Lucky should be fine with some cleaning and betadine, given the only problem was that little avulsion on the top of it. BTW Lucky, try and keep it out of a shoe and dry if you can. So go barefoot to your interview. 😛

Erm, did you name your toe "Lucky"? 😕

If so, it appears to be wishful thinking. 🙂

I run over my toes all the time with my chair. They must be Super Toes since I still have 5 on each foot, and none are swollen... 😉
