I know this may be abit higher end but does anyone have a slot one mobo that will support a Celeron 300a? I've got everything else I need to get it up and running but the board.

I downloaded vnc, but I started messing around with netmeeting, I got netmeeting setup to do exactly what I need, full control of that machine from my systems screen, works great!

Uh Oh, the sun is coming up, time for bed :)

I have a couple of 15" monitors available for pick-up. I live in the East Bay area of the San Fransisco/Oakland/San Jose region.

Hmmm,

This thread (and the get-together last night) has inspired me to try Klinux on this P100 that is not quite stable enough for the classroom.

If Slacker can have a Franken Cracker, I can certainly give this a try.

I have two extra keyboards if anyone needs them, and if anyone has an extra ethernet card, feel free to save me from fetching/flushing using a floppy to one of my old cows.

Does anyone know where to find cheap AGP or PCI videocards that'll work with Linux? I can find 4 meg PCI SIS cards for $20 at Fry's, just wondering is there are any cheaper that are fairly readily available?

Bummer on FS/FT has cheap MB's every once and a while with built in video, I may go that route. I really wouldn't need a videocard (other then initial set-up) under Linux, but it makes life easier.

I also have been able to get a KV switch for fairly cheap, but a 4 port KVM one was much more expensive than buying $4 PS/2 mice at Office Max and having a mouse for every computer.

I bought a few of These a while back at $16 I don't see any Linux drivers at S3's driver page You would think that there would be ViRGE drivers for linux though.

Good cards for the $ BTW

The ISA video card is on it's way. I would have sent it out yesterday, but all I had plugged into MBs that I knew worked were VESA, so I had to dig through my parts boxes and find the ISA one and test it to make sure it worked. I sent it First Class US Post Office. I think it should get there in 2 to 4 days. :)
