what? serious. a home AND garden forum is a good idea. i, like many, own a home but have no idea how to do a lot of maintenance type work.

I think a home improvement forum would be a good idea too. We've got 'youts' who own homes that haven't a clue with regards to basic electrical, plumbing and, construction.

I tend to agree with you. I think Anandtech rather prostituted this site when they diverged from their strictly high tech and geek oriented mission statement. But that's just my opinion and others feel differently apparently.

Be that as it may, Anandtech was always about electronics related technology not construction related technology. Everyone has their preferences only the owner has the final say on which direction Anandtech will go in the future.

Some of the worst home improvement advice I've ever seen has been in OT. They would need a mod that could sort out the stupid and dangerous.
