How about a good digital camera for around $100?

I have the choice of spending ~$30 for a decent webcam (Logitech Quickcam or something) or up to ~$100 for a digital camera (preferably USB)


any opinions, recommendations?


EDIT: I just bought a cheapo I/O Magic webcam from OM (Hot Deals) so now I need just a good/decent digital camera.

Only requirement being that it has a USB connection and I would prefer to have an LCD display on the camera. Any suggestions

he says he got the box and manuals and everything. i thought ur original post said u were looking for a webcam, or digicam? looks like the webcam was right in ur ballpark. if u check cnet... that kodak is one of the highest rated webcams. i wanted to buy it, but dammit, i already got a digicam, miniv dv, and a webcam. i wanted the kodak becuz its black and matches the rest of my pc 😛 but $$$ is tight... ARGH!
 
intel makes a camera that can be used as a webcam and a freestanding digital camera - i don't know if they make it anymore,
but you could get it for less than $100 with a coupon, or on special sale. i got one for my daughter, and i've got to say it takes remarkably good pictures for the price (if your not going to make huge prints), and it is an outstanding webcam (i think its the intel pc pro camera)
 
Can't remember which store, but I was thumbing through the Sunday Adverts and remember seeing a 2MB USB digital camera (stores 80 photos) for $26 bucks (regular $50); Best Buy, Staples, Circuit City, or Office Max. It was one of those four, because those were the only ads I checked.

I think you mean an Argus digicam from OM that was for around that price. I thought about it but it seemed like a toy and the resoultion wasnt good. I want at least 1 megapix
