The republicans have done what they promised.

After reading depressing story after depressing story, I'd like to thank you for the laugh that gave me.

I wish I had time to post everything I want, but I have to leave on a road-trip shortly. Guess I just missed that marriage amendment we heard so much about. When I get back I hope you'll have provided a link or something that illustrates this stellar rate of delivery you're speaking of. Specially that marriage amendment, I'd love to hear all about as so many folks were riled up over the issue. Who knows, maybe you'll educate me on how Iraq has already been won on the cheap with oil revenues for all.

Cheers! ;)
I don't recall any "promising" to pass a constitutional amendment. How could they promise getting states to ratify? Your example is stupid.

You are typically diverting my point. The democrats could have already fulfilled their promise and have CHOSEN not to.

You and the idiot OP CHOOSE to ignore this fact and instead focus on the other parties failings. That's partisan politics at it's finest.

You know what I like most? That you Bushies are suddenly concerned about "having a plan."
Oh it's perfectly fine for this admin to have no exit strategy whatsoever going into the clusterfvck known as Iraq, but if ditching a situation we can't win and saving American lives in the process isn't done to your satisfaction well get out the pitchforks and torches, it's those damn Democrats again!

Are you not paying any attention? Where did I say I agree with the Bush admin? You label me a "Bushie" because I claim the Democrats aren't doing what they promised they would do? What twisted logic are you using?

The Democrats got to where they are on their promise to end the war and bring troops home. So far they have done less than nothing to that effect.

If I recall correctly, Rumsfeld threatened to fire anyone in his staff that even proposed "a plan" as well - the silence from the right was deafening.

Things aren't moving at the speed of a rubber-stamp Congress anymore - deal with it.

You're right, things aren't moving at all. The Democrats lied to the American people in order to take congress, and now they are sitting on their ass talking out of both sides of their mouth.

At least House Democrats are doing what their voters asked them to do.

Maybe the Senate Democrats might do so one day as well.

That's my point, they aren't!

Has ANYBODY looked at Hillary's plan for getting out of Iraq? All it is is a redeployment plan! She has no intentions of leaving Iraq! She says one thing and then comes up with this legislation that does absolutely nothing to the effect of leaving Iraq! It's mind blowing how people can believe her.

Face it. The Democrats are as worthless as the Republicans. They used the war as a way to gain power in congress, and the sheeple believed every word they said, even when they do the opposite on a daily basis.

In the same post you both criticize them for allegedly not doing anything in Congress and you admit they don't have enough votes to do anything.

I am constantly reminded that three year old have very concrete thought processes.

Let me try to explain (I know, I am a hopeless optimist)..they are spending all their time offering up bills that they know will never become law, and holding hundreds of investigations that serve no purpose.

they were elected to "Do the people's business" That means, in politics, compromising, or finding common ground to agree upon, and moving forward. The Dems do not have the political mandate of the people to carry out their revival of the Communist State without some Republicans, and the President going along. So they should focus their efforts on accomplishing something the electorate supports.

Instead, they are posturing, and putting on a show for the 2008 elections...

I suppose you still don't get it. But hey, I understand.

I don't understand why some here are giving you heat.

You are correct. Earlier today I saw Joe Biden talking about the huge unrest expected in the region if we pull out. He was talking about the Turks & Kurds fighting, Syria & Iran etc. The whole "9 yards".

Like you I have heard their plans, except for Kucinich (and later I think Richardson) no one has a plan to pullout. It's all re-deploy etc. as you say.

Like I've said recently - "Pull Out v. Stay the Course" looks dead. Both side are talking pretty much the same sh!t. There is no "stay the course" on the Repub side, there is really no "Pull Out" on the Dem side. It seems to me it's now all about how many troops, what will they be doing, and where are most of 'em gonna be based (e.g., the Kurd section).
