Dude with the eye patch implied something similar. Heard it on the radio.
Something to the effect:
Democrats snuck a bunch of representatives into their party and now Democrats are laughing at Republicans.

Republicans are so simple minded it is all about who is laughing at whom.
If we had secret Democrats posing as Republicans why wouldn't they just vote for a Democratic speaker?

Fairly traditional Republican guy I know who gets involved in local politics has a Facebook post about it. Thread is funny as in Whoo Hoo we’re showing what the democratic process is like to hey they really should just vote for Kevin they made their point to what the hell waiting till tomorrow?
The Deplorable’s he knows are now blaming democrats for the Chaos. They should have voted to support Kevin to end this.

Hahahahahahahahahahahaha

So...the Republican's major accomplishments under Trump is to reverse anything the Democrats did, and to drag us back to 1823, but they are saying Democrats are to blame for them not having an easier time doing shit like banning books and restricting the rights of women and minorities? Are they serious?

Kevin still doesn't have the votes, GOP wants to try to adjourn but the Dems are not likely to agree this time.

All of conservative politics is identity politics so when conservatives screw something up it's important to find a reason why it's not conservatives' fault.

And they shouldn't. Need at least another day or two of watching him squirm.

I think it’s hilarious that Gosar/Gaetz/etc. are publicly screaming that McCarthy can’t be speaker and privately asking AOC if the squad can bail him out. LOL. Why would the Dems even attempt to strike a bargain with two-faced spineless McCarthy? He’s shown that he can’t be trusted—heck he’d poll higher for breaking a deal with Dems. Why should Dems bail him out??? The argument that he’s the lesser of whatever other evil speaker may come along holds no water—he’s completely compromised himself to the crazy faction and has no real power to rein them in.

there's plenty wrong with him, starting with he's a spineless weasel.

good summary of the political history of this empty husk of flesh

In it, we learn that every GOP legislator he was worked with from the state level up, learned pretty quickly that he has no ideas, no interest in actual politics, and is simply a power-hungry sinker at the bottom of your toilet.

Isn't it the second time he's tried to be speaker? Wasn't he de-railed after Boehner and Tim Ryan was the compromise candidate?

that's not what the interview with AOC i saw indicated was happening. she was speaking to them to gauge if McCarthy was telling the truth or lying publicly.

yep. The GOP hates him so much that they forced an unwilling Ryan to lead the Trump circus. It was the last job that Ryan ever wanted, but he likewise hates McCarthy so much that he had no other choice.

..and it's Paul Ryan.

I'm gonna laugh when this ends in a chicken contest on like the 8th ballot and Jeffries is elected speaker.

The one thing that stuck out through this rolling big mess is the question someone asked: "Where the hell is Trump?" So yeah, where the f**k is the Leader of the Republican Party in all of this? Isn't he supposed to sort'a be a discrete referee in all of those chicken fights going on all over the floor of the House? lol
I am guessing noone paid him.
