Most all lights have been changed from incandescent to RGB LED so power consumption is a lot less than previous years. Also DMX added to show. All lights, faces and props are custom made (DIY) by me except for the roof line which are CCRs. Controlling channels have gone up 8X from last year. 1144 channels. Light-O-Rama. Riverside, CA

the guy must be an electrician to do all that.

All of those lights must cost a fortune.

yes it does, maybe he/she got connection and get those lights at a deep discount.

or maybe he/she own their electrician company and be able to afford all those led lights for cheap.

Wow. That might be the worst song that I've ever heard.

But the project is impressive. I wonder what each run costs? Not to mention the ridiculous time spent to get everything mounted and synced.

Are people hring pro teams to do this shit, now?

..do such teams exist?

....have I stumbled into an un-tapped market?

:hmm:

Oh come on you wimps, we can't listen to Zeppelin and Joni Mitchell forever.

if whatever is going on in that video is our only other option, then absolutely fuck yes we can.

Whomever is responsible for that genre of music should dragged out into a rat-infested street, beaten with a pillow-case full of quarters, and shot.

Actually, syncing things to the music is quite easy with the software you would use. I think Lightorama or one of those places lets you play with the software to give you an idea of what you would do.

Using LEDs makes such a project a little "easier" for anyone. With regular lights, you were dealing with a lot of circuits to provide that much power.

Nothing halloween about it but it was done well. I really should record my dad on halloween night. He goes all out with his setup, theater lighting setup, fog machine, and the entire front of the house and yard are decorated up extremely well. He scares the shit out of people as they can't see into the house he makes it pitch black and keeps the front door open so he can be a foot away from them without them seeing him. It is quite funny and very well done.

Yes, there are companies that do consulting of that type. It's not an un-tapped market any more.

Time is the larger investment (for most) than money. It takes a *huge* amount of time to get that shit right.

<edit> Also, that video sucks.
