They might try again tomorrow because they think that Scalise may be there.

I dunno boys maybe think about having some sort of "whip count" or something to avoid entirely avoidable embarrassments like today.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. An astounding showcase of Republican incompetence twice in one day

I'm also amazed (well, not that much) that they're willing to go through with an impeachment vote with 0 evidence, fully knowing conviction will die on the Senate, all the while being completely unwilling to impeach trump. Of course Republicans are entirely disingenuous. It's just that the bar isnt so much a bar to pass as it is a bottomless hole that they willingly continue to dig deeper. That is probably the amazing part.

You have to read what happened in the right way. Notice how near the end of voting several R's quickly voted no so the count would not be equal which would have prevented it from coming back up. They will have a majority next time it comes up, however, like with the Trump impeachment it won't get a conviction in the Senate.

Political games that we pay top dollar for. Impeach the Congress for being incompetent and send them all home.

The best time to change America's immigration system was probably in 2002 after 9/11, but Dems would not want that because the demographics would have changed, and Republicans wanted all nonwhite immigration to cease like it was from 1790 to 1966....

Wrong thread moron. There is a thread about how the dumb fuck Republicans can't seem to effectively enact policies about borders and immigration (like even when they controlled all three branches of government). Get a clue you fucking clown.

This whole MAGAt partisan charade is a complete was of time and taxpayer dollars. The only people the House GOP lugnuts are fooling is their own clueless dupes. But then I guess that's really what they want to do in the first place. Getting revenge for Trump by staging hoax impeachments (I'm sure there will be more) is about as much as they want out of this year's House majority.

To hell with actual governing by the GOP because they simply can't give the middle class and the poor what they want from the gov't. It's totally verboten by their corporate overlords whose only desire to shower themselves with loot from the treasury.

No comment on today 22 years later? Or are you just trying to deflect blame? The last chance we had was in 2019 when Trump had House and Senate.

Taking a party priority to the floor that you know is going to fail is pretty crazy. Doing it twice in one day is insane. Then the speaker gaveled out the failed vote lol. These are not messaging bills that you just want to put the other party on the record for.

Oh yeah the House is no closer to passing its appropriations bills and the CR is going to run out in a month.

Total clown show.

Impeachment officially brought to the senate. But lol MTG one of the house members to present their case. But looks like Shumer could just have vote to dismiss this without even having official removal trial.

I think the Senate has to have a trial. Mitch wasn't able to dodge Trump's second trial. Shumer could use the "no evidence allowed" McConnell rule and allow Senators to be absent.
