I'm thinking the snickering liberals are either without children or without humanity. Probably both. Of course, they make a living defending those misunderstood criminals.

While I think the right of a women to choose should be retained in very early pregnancy, I certainly think that if someone slugged my pregnant wife in the stomach and killed the baby, murder charges should be filed. If they weren't filed against me first.

me and my wife are having our second child and after 5 weeks you can see the heartbeat, A heartbeat means that it has now become a human life. I have no idea whether life starts at conception but I do know it starts at 5 weeks. For the people that think killing a pregnant woman should not be charged with 2 murders they must be without Conscience. They seem to be more concerned with the rights of the rights of the murderer then the rights of a pregnant woman. I am not a right wing zealot or a religious zealot everything I beleive comes from common sense.

I have no idea whether life starts at conception but I do know it starts at 5 weeks.

Sure it does, the heart and everything else starts to form right away, whats really amazing is that it is life prior to the heartbeat.

Anyway back to the debate at hand,

Only women who "choose" should be allowed to murder kids (thier own kids of course).
Total strangers should be punished.

No of course not, we have already clearly established that women have the right to murder thier unborn kids in whatever manner they see fit. Intentional miscarriage would save on abortion fees

This is why these threads get so screwed up because of comments like this. Even the far right wing nuts never said anything like this.

What is so screwed up about it?
Its clearly the intent of the House to begin to define a fetus as life. This lays the foundation for the overturn of roe v wade. So, if you're going to label abortion murder, does it follow that miscarriage is murder??

Please read a book, ask a friend or use the internet because you have no clue. A miscarriage is caused but a complete breakdown in the developement of the fetus, Catastrophic defects in the developement not by the hand of a person or persons. Each parent contributes 23 Chromosomes to the fetus but in the case of a miscarriage the is a 47 chromosome that can cause this. Down syndrome is also caused by a 47th chromosome 21 along with many other birth defects.

I know exactly what a miscarrage is. But, if there was conception, and since conception=life, a miscarrage is a loss of life, correct??

Its unintentional loss of life and is not a criminal offense, AKA natural causes If your kid gets sick and dies from chickenbox
nobody gest punished (unless you withheld medical treatment).

Either way, no worry this law does not target the women/mother they are still perfectly free to murder the kid.

Just like a parrot. You teach it to say one thing and it says it over and over . . . and over . . . and over . . . and just won't shut up about it . . . and over . . . and he told two friends . . . and then they told two friends . . . and so on. Ad nauseum.

You are an idiot.
Yes, miscarriage is a loss of life. Obviously. But murder is intentional.

Saying the same thing over and over doesn't make it untrue.

What about a C-section?
If they make the incision, then kill the baby before they take it out, is that OK?
Which part has to actually be out of the uterus for it to be a baby?

Are you seriously against this law because "mostly that I think this creates varying levels of value for human life."?
Can you explain that one to me and why it doesn't apply for your belief that 10 seconds before a baby is born it has NO RIGHTS and NO VALUE while 10 seconds after it's born, it suddenly does?

Nope. If you read my posts, you will find that any name calling is usually accompanied by arguments on the subject.

I do find it odd though that you object to name calling but are fine with referring to gays as homos. Typically, the word homo is used as a very derogatory term. Name calling in other words.

Doesn't make it true either. Does make one a parrot though.

You tell me! I'm not the one trying to change the laws. Apparently you are though. My belief is very uncomplicated: the fetus is born --> it becomes a baby --> it is given all the rights and privileges as a citizen.

Are you seriously against abortion because "mostly that I think this creates varying levels of value for human life."?

I'm not against abortion at all.

Can you explain that one to me and why it doesn't apply for your belief that 10 seconds before a baby is born it has NO RIGHTS and NO VALUE while 10 seconds after it's born, it suddenly does?

Why do living people have rights and then suddenly cease to have them once they die? It seems like a natural demarcation point.

short for homosexuals. if homosexual is offensive I am sorry but that is what I know to be the proper term.Gay is also taken as a negative term. It is hard to refer to gays or homosexuals without sounding offensive.
That also is quite a bit different than telling someone they are an idiot to make them feel bad.

if someone feels bad because someone on an internet message board called them an idiot, they have bigger problems to deal with.
Calling someone a homo is like calling someone Japanese a jap.

Edited for what I obviously meant.

When someone dies, they are dead.
Are you suggesting that a fetus isn't alive before it's born?

So to clarify, please directly answer this question:

Do you believe it would be morally right and should be legal for a doctor to make a C-Section incision, then insert a tool to crush the head of the "fetus" to kill it before removing it from the woman's uterus?
