Hurry up and charge him already please! I really hope Garland doesn't chicken out.

I believe this is why people out there are not paying attention to these hearings. People think that in the end nothing will be done. Trump will not be charged, Trump will run again for 2024, and what was all of this for if in the end everyone gets away with murder?
I think this way too.
I do not believe anything will be done because all this committee can do is to recommend with having no power to charge or indict.

Even the committee members drag their feet and do their double talk when asked point blank if Trump committed a crime, and when asked point blank "do you think Trump should be indicted?" They wont answer. They deflect to the attorney general. And the experts claim there is not enough evidence, no smoking gun against Trump.
Even that recording of Trump asking to find 11000+. more votes, even that evidence lawyers say does not prove intent.
And so.... are the hearings worth it? Or just a waste of time?

And remind me....
Was there not an impeachment over this? And where the F were these Trump associates and their patriotism then? Why the sudden change of heart?

John Bolton claims Jan 6 wasn't a coup d'état as it requires more coordination (which is more like an argument as to why it failed than denial of it being a coup attempt) ~ this is of course based on the former national security advisor's expertise in planning several coup d'état... just to be clear, not the Jan 6 one here in the US, other places...

Just a sparkling insurrection..

In other news..movement towards indictments?

Something is just not right or answering the big question of WHERE WERE THE LAW ENFORCEMENT ON THAT DAY?
We have more heavily armed law enforcement protecting the house of Brett Kavanaugh than we had protected Americas house... the US capitol.
There is a link yet to be exposed as to why the lack of security and lack of enforcement on January 6th. Who gave the orders for law enforcement to stay away, to be so limited, what was the organization happening in the background to limit the presents of law enforcement?

I do believe this is the potential smoking gun. Because for law enforcement to play such a limited role suggests the conspiracy to insurrection is much more deeper and involves military and law enforcement across the entire country. People in high positions loyal to Trump. Military leaders loyal to Trump and willingness to obey. Local law enforcement's across the country not only aware of the coming January 6th, but willingness to do their part in knowing what was being planned, yet proving loyality and compliance by keeping quiet.
This committee has only scratched the surface.

Indeed. You have RW political pundits attempting to argue but POTUS doesn’t directly control police forces and couldn’t have ordered this reduced presence. Well the orange monkey told his secretary of defense to not active the national guard. And when local police attempted to contact for their support, they couldn’t be contacted for hours. But nope it’s Pelosi’s fault is what they keep repeating

Don't worry. Garland still won't do shit.

I think they're very scared to put President's in jail since that just opens up constant prosecution and jailing for vendetta.

Also the thing is with a country being this divided.. how would you convict him in court? Like New York is very liberal but 1 trump guy on a jury hung the jury on a trial with clear evidence and they have to try him all over again.

But I don't think everyone else gets a get out of jail free card.

So Donnie Jr. Eric, Ivanka, and all the other lunatics might get indicted.

Ofcourse its easier to just leave the Union and that's what we should try to do like Scotland and Ireland are trying to do with Great Britain.

Trump will be indicted, probably multiple times. Also his jury will be in DC.

What makes you think he didn't pardon himself before on that plane ride down to Florida on the morning of the 20th to cover his own ass?

He takes advantage of stupid people.. but he's not exactly stupid himself.

Because that pardon would be public. He certainly did not do this.

Might and well be the case but I don't trust him.

He could just scribble on a paper now that he pardoned himself today backdated to Jan 20th and the SCOTUS upholds it. Especially with a SCOTUS intent on sticking it to the libs now.

Getting into retarded territory here but that's where these fucks reside. It's home field for them.

Also its time we realize.. rules and regulations and the law didn't save the republic.. we got lucky and that hack by Trump has pretty much decapitated us.. its currently like the fish without a head and guts but it still wriggles because of nerves.. for a while.

Well I mean if you’re of the opinion that nothing matters and we are essentially in a civil war already than sure. There is no secret pardon though, we can be 100% certain of that.

So Bolton accidentally in public admitted to what an actual piece of pure shit he had been all his career.

But POTUS did actively not inform any government agency that he wanted his "people" to march to the capitol. If those agency's would have been notified there would have been more barriers and way more security on hand that day. But that would have interrupted his plans of them breaking into the capitol and delaying the certification.

Nah - that would be true for someone like Bannon but I think the odds of Meadows flipping if he gets indicted are pretty good.

I think it would depend on the charges TBH. The stronger, more sweeping offenses they are, the more likely you're right. If it's limited to process charges, swings towards my guess. But I'm not expecting more than false statements/obstruction/contempt/etc.

I think it matters most if the DOJ even offers him the opportunity. There is every possibility that he is as high up the food chain as they want to go. He might be the sacrificial goat they use to attempt to appease the public that someone was held accountable.
