Frankly, I have no idea why Hillary Clinton ever agreed to meet or partake in that republican controlled Benghazi committee hearing? Why did she not simply refuse to show up, like Trump republicans are now refusing to do with the Jan 6th committee?
For one, Hillary had nothing to hide, and Hillary was not at fault. Yet, here we have an out right government overthrow attempt by MANY Trump associates and MANY Trump administration officials, and they just refuse when summoned.
I only wish that Hillary had not shown up when she was ambushed by the republicans, but as we know... democrats always believe in the system and in the process where as republicans just thump their nose at it all.

I don't know of you'd call it a double standard, or what? But I do know that democrats have to get mad dog mean and send those subpoena dodgers straight to F-ing jail. And I mean asap, within days of their refusal. Why is that not happening?
Now when your right leaning comrades start bitching about the public hearings you can just shout 'BENGHAZI" into their face. Masked of course

In the back of my head, I keep wondering if they aren't planning on dragging this out into the August/September/October window hoping it will help the Mid-terms.

Sniveling coward wannabe speaker live on why he’s refusing to appear before the select committee. “The question is why the capitol police were so ill prepared.” He totally refuses to answer any questions about his talks with the orange monkey

edit reporter is now twisting his words. So oversight committees are only for legislation. So if you become house speaker, what committees do you plan to bring? Totally deflected

Of course he's turning this into everything but the Jan.6 hearing and running down a list of grievances ala Trump.

I can see where in the heat of the moment when Trump's treasonous attempt at keeping his job and the protections from prosecution it gave him culminated into an insurrection on Jan6 that instantly became the mother of all backfires the Repubs will have to live with for all time.

It was all fun and games for many rank and file Repubs while it was also a marvelous plan by Trump and his handlers to heh "Stop the Steal" and keep Trump in power right up to the moment where things got out of their control and blew up in their faces. The resultant panic attack by Trump's henchmen must've been supremely glorious at that moment. Alarms and sirens went off in their heads when they realized they were directly responsible for what was happening at the Capitol and the calls to Trump to cease and desist began in frustrated earnest.

I wish I was in on those calls to Trump from those traitors that were now overcome with palls of doom realizing how they were now direct participants in one of the worst crimes committed against the nation.

In order for this "witch hunt" (as the Repub like to falsely frame it as) to see itself to its conclusion where every seditious act, where every player who conspired to prevent the peaceful transfer of power is held to account and suffer the consequences of their treasonous acts against the nation, the Dems will have to hold on to the House and Senate.

We all know that once the Repubs take control of the legislature they will attempt to wipe the memory of the insurrection they perpetrated completely from the minds of the people and from the pages of history just as they are desirous to keep those aspects of the Civil War that points to how slavery was one of if not the primary reason the southern states seceded hidden from the minds of our children of whom should rightfully perpetuate the factual history of that war.

This is why I say white people should not be allowed to write history. All they do it write events to their favor. That why I was taught in elementary school Columbus discovered America which was a complete lie. They will try to erase history from a year ago. How can they be trusted with this countries history of over 250 years??

There is a school district in PA that banned discussing Jan 6 in Social Studies class. Let the whitewashing begin

"January 6 committee subpoenas Google, Facebook, Twitter and Reddit in probe of Capitol attack"

Looks like these media giants are somewhat in the same hole that Trump's close sycophant supporters are.

Just came back in from my walk, and what wonderful news to see. An oath keeper charged with SEDITION Seditious Conspiracy!

Don't get your hopes up.

Trump will pardon him in a few years, assuming even gets convicted.

Being a far right domestic terrorist sure must pay well. Look at the crib this overstuffed Snake Plissken wannabe is crashing in.
