She has enormously profited from daddy's influence as POTUS yet she turned on him to save her own ass. I guess she learned a lot about taking care of 'ol #1 just like her daddy does.

Heh, I'd like to think that she actually did this because Melania begged her to do it so they both could get even with him for having to put them through four years of hellish humiliation and embarrassment from being obligated to support him while remaining silent about his inept and outrageous behavior and performance as POTUS.
 
I know it's just the first of 7 hearings...but anyone watch that and come away either more or less hopeful for the trajectory of this country?

Just reminded me I need to update my short list of countries I could immigrate to. Unfortunately, nearly all english speaking countries have a Murdoch problem, except Canada, which has a cold as shit problem.

Mainly spanish, but big expat community. Fairly popular destination.

As for the aerospace engineering, ooooof. GL on adding in that as a qualification. Europe somewhere, best I can do.
 
Belize is the only English speaking country in Central America, and is probably my favorite country in Central America.

Can always work remotely. My neighbor down the street is like 75% retired and does aerospace engineering and the only work he does is fully remote. He barely does any work though.

I’m not so sure about that. Entrenched partisans won’t change their minds but they were never the target anyway. Hopefully it will change some swing voters’ minds though, as they are the ones that really matter.

It would be helpful, if there is ever any hope of changing deeply brainwashed minds, to have some understanding of why people believe not what may be true, but what they feel they need to believe. That won't happen until some significant number of people have come to grips with why they themselves believe what they believe, become aware of what they actually do believe which is just different words for how they really feel. If nobody wanted to know, voila, I think we would be living in the actual world we are living and only imagine we would like to fix.
 
Sadly, after all the 1-06 crap went down the 35%+ of the country entrenched in the Big Lie has worked their magic in almost every state to make sure that they stay in power indefinitely, regardless of the voting outcomes.

I've said this in this thread before (and others) and I tell everyone I can that will remotely listen to me, you NEED to watch "Four Hours at the Capital". It should be required viewing. It is infuriating and enraging and just shows what went down that day. Everyone present that day needs to pay.
