I think they are basing it off this which sounds like just a fun way to play with statistics.

Regardless of target audience, Tyler Perry's movies and shows suck.

It has nothing to do with it being a "black" thing, it's just all poorly written garbage.

That would be your opinion, he's one of Oprah's favorites and his movies always are smash hits at the box office. I don't care about his movies doing well, a lot of shitty movies do well all the time. But having Oprah praise your work is a pretty damn big thing. She doesn't get behind many people.

oprah is black.

And? she pretty much hates rap music and doesn't get behind any other black directors. The fact she likes Tylers work has nothing to do with him being black. She's also a huge fan of Tom Hanks...

No, no, no - Tyler Perry is simply awful. If Oprah endorses him, I'll have to say oprah is just appealing to her base, because she's a brilliant and savvy woman who must know that T.P. movies suck. They're dreadful, and I sat through Madea Goes to Prison. Madea's the new Ernest, I shit you not.

Speaking of black sitcoms, I really do enjoy "Everyone Hates Chris"

well, that pretty much makes your opinion useless in my eyes.

Because if she did, they would either die of fright or suffocate.

I would be offended by 90% of the black sitcoms if I was a black person.

They are targeting me by dancing and using ghetto vocabulary? Fuck that.

Why? Mash, Cheers & All In The Family are easily 3 of the most watched sitcoms ever. People on here will probably say The Office is so much better than Mash or Cheers or some WTF retarded shit. And Sanford & Son was the #2 most watched sitcom in the 70's, that's not my opinion...

Oprah is one of the most powerful and influential people in the world, she's pretty much the polar opposite of you. Having Oprah behind you can make your career, if she decided to go after you, she could end it. What's so fucking funny about that? If you're an author all Oprah has to do is mention your book on her show and it's on the best sellers lists. Are you disagreeing that Oprah has power? Then why are you laughing at me saying it's a big deal if she gets behind somebody. if you don't think Oprah has power there's no need for me to further discuss this with you.

Um..you were using Oprah as proof that the shows are good. I laughed my ass off at our resident ATOT thug-lyfer because Oprah "getting behind him" doesnt mean the shows are funny.

His work is low-brow garbage. Which is why you like it. Accept it.
