House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski

**SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS***

Has anyone else read this? I just finished it....and well, I'm totally confused. I understand that it's one of those "draw your own conclusions" sort of novels, but man, this one really put the old mindscrew on me. Anyone have any insight on the novel? Little correlations between The Navidson Record and Johnny's madness that I might have missed? Did he end up raping and killing Kyrie? or was that all in his head??? Or was EVERYTHING in his head??? How could the band have read the book while he was still writing it??? Was Navy reading the same book we were in the last expedition??? Sooo confused...

I find it hard to believe no one has read this (or maybe no one wants to talk about it 😉. I was under the impression it was fairly popular. *shrugs*

I read it when it first came out, but I don't remember much about it so I can't say anything.... sorry... 🙂 It was a weird book though, very interesting...

Isn't that the book by Poe's brother?

Poe rocks. I can't say the book interests me much though.
Yeah, the lyrics from Hey Pretty are from the book. I didn't realize that, and I was reading along and came across them and I thought, "Wow this sounds familiar." I had to google some of the text to remember where I'd heard it before. 🙂

Lemme go back and look over the book again tonight. I read it about 2 years ago and I can't remember too many details from it, but I do remember that I liked it a lot but I too was a bit confused at times. Overall it was just a weird, slightly distrubing book.
