Yet another series AT has ruined for me by not using spoiler tags.

You are some of the worst people in this world.

You enter a thread about a TV show you haven't watched yet and then are surprised when there are spoilers? That's like being surprised water boils when put on a stove.

A. I've gotten through all but two episodes.
2. It takes fucking seconds to wrap a post with a 'spoiler shield.'
III. The stove must first be turned on.
0b100. Your condescending reply made you look like an ass, rather than make me look like an idiot for reading a thread that was clearly not marked for spoilers, and where most spoilers within the thread were shielded...with the exception of the post in question.

people were keeping it spoiler-free for several days because, well, not everyone watches all 13 episodes in one sitting. It's only been out a week--to ruin the entire series of 13 episodes in about a week's time is completely dickish, especially when it's easy to avoid.

that being said, I avoided this thread for the last several days because I knew some asshole would do it. 😀

...like when I asked in the TV death thread about the status of Hell on Wheels, as I'm about 5 episodes in (at the time) and only one season is available on Netflix. Some Jackhole comments: well, what's the point? they went and @#$@%#^^*!&!

what a bastard.

It's your own fault you came into the thread not prepared, don't blame other people for your own mistake. Besides, there are no actual spoilers in the thread so you are mad for no reason other than to cry for attention.

So Underwood getting assassinated is not considered a spoiler? Seems somewhat crucial to me. I'll be sure to make sure I'm 'prepared' next time I enter a thread. Maybe contemplate clicking for a few minutes...take some deep breaths, maybe take a lab around the building.

I hate attention...don't even like 'happy birthday' being sung to me...dam you Cheesecake Factory.

that is a lie you idiot.

Jm Aggie, you're an idiot. I'd have to agree with me on that one, and myself just validated my opinion based on facts.

Really fun show. The only problem is that since all the episodes came out at once, you can't discuss what's going on and speculate with other people. I remember when I was watching BSG as it aired, every episode would raise new questions and heighten the tension and rumors and theories would fly everywhere.

I have to admit, though, I was a bit confused when Peter Russo got drunk, did the radio interview, and got in the shower at the end of episode 10. When the staffer guy went to check on him and then looked distraught, I thought he had killed himself or something. Then at the beginning of the next episode you see him doing stuff and I realized what had actually happened.

Yes they definitely assassinate the main character of a 2 season show in the first season.
WEll they did do that in Game of Thrones so it wouldn't neccessarily be a stretch.

So they assassinate Spacey on the last episode... how are they going to continue the series into the next season?

Just to clear this up for everyone, and yes I fell for it, Underwood is not assassinated at the end of the season. Still a dick move darkxshade, but well played. 😛

Game of Thrones...

I don't really give a shit about spoilers but damn now you idiots arguing about it is derailing things, as it always seems to.

Show was decent, but its quite a bit overrated. Then again I find politics and news shit boring as hell and there was no danger so all the suspense and tension they kept trying to build was just empty. It fell flat way too quickly too and they did a terrible job of handling the timeframes. It boils down to just a solid all around show that really didn't provide content worthy of its styling (the "twists" and plot turns were pretty damn predictable, at times the show is downright silly like him playing CoD or her weird run through the cemetary).

Weirdly it reminded me of Resident Evil. The music during certain scenes was really reminiscent of music from the first RE game.

I don't really think Underwood playing CoD is that silly. There's plenty of adult gamers; he said himself he does it to relax. I game to relax and have fun too.

I prefer the way they are doing House of Cards. I never watched Star Trek Enterprise until it came to Netflix, and I would have gone nuts if I had to wait a week (or longer) between some of those episodes and seasons.

But I understand what you are saying. The time spent trying to figure out what will happen next is irreplaceable.

I wonder if we (those of us posting in this thread) could agree on a date to start open discussion about this show, spoilers and all. Say, we set a date of 3/07 (or whatever), and after that all bets are off. Then the OP can update so that everyone will know about it.

Just a thought.

Sounds reasonable to me. Maybe we can start a thread and add a poal and vote on it.

The problem is it doesn't fit his character and feels tacked on. It was a clear character ploy and they went way too far with stuff like that on this show. It lacks subtlety, its either just outright telling you or being stupidly vague/drawn out ("Major Dad", Russo after the radio call), there's little to no middle ground with character exposition.
