Why does it seem like those that take the most from government are always the one wanting to deny the government from helping others?

No see, they deserve it because they worked hard for it. Everyone else are just entitled babies.

They never really ever suffer consequences from it. Due to the entrenched 2 Party system.

Hell its been actually working in their favor for the past few decades even. Its not just the 2 party system either (plenty of other countries with multiple parties have problems with conservatives gaining influence by peddling bullshit to rile up the masses). Americans deeply believe that they should not have to give a shit, and that entitles them to blame someone else for everything. And then one group (conservatives) takes that further, where they feel it not only enables but explicitly calls for them to believe anything they want, which then fuels their persecution complex (that they built their entire belief system around).

"Laugher" curve.....do you speak it?

This is a ploy by the GOP. Extend the personal tax cut (if you can call it that for most) indefinitely and then pin it on the Dems for keeping the nice GOP from giving the people a larger, longer tax cut. They know it has no chance of getting by the Senate....just a dog and pony show for the voters.

I've said it before and now again.....any GOP who supports stuff like this needs their ass kicked between their shoulders if they start complaining about the deficit / debt for ANY administration, period.

It was a component of my enlistment agreement. I don't recall there being an opt out box. And fuckoff.

You're typical of those who didn't serve, criticizing Veterans. Hell, were you back in the Vietnam days, you'd have probably been right there spitting on and throwing things at our Vets.

They're not criticizing veterans, they're criticizing *you*.

Vietnam vets were drafted. Newer vets volunteered to be on the dole. So you fuck off and stop being a drain on society.

Yep, insane enough to serve my country and have VA medical coverage for life, which I don't have to pay for. I guess I was just stupid like that. ;)

So, a self-admitted and self-professed welfare queen, eh? Gotcha. Thought you'd be more ashamed of yourself, but who am I kidding, right? You'll slam anyone else for accepting govt. assistance but vacuum any and all you can obtain for yourself. Such a hypocrite, but typical of conservatives.

Most reliable economist have been warning and warning and warning that the economy IS ABSOLUTELY going to crash.
And hopefully not but probably likely to happen during democratic rule.
Republicans will keep things as is and keep spending like crazy until they get most of what they want. That being, a full right wing US Supreme Court ownership, a full abortion ban, demise of medicare, demise of social security, and the demise of affordable healthcare.
Then, they will allow democrats back into power to take all the heat and all the blame.
And the scheme will probably work considering the short memory span of the electorate.
Hold onto your seats, we're in for a bumpy ride....

Seems to me the Repubs want to go out with a bang.........a really really big bang to last themselves for quite awhile, or at least until the next conman Pied Piper like Trump comes along for them to start the looting and pillaging all over again.

Considering how many of them believe in the biblical armageddon and/or race wars, they do seem to be intentionally trying to make those things happen. Which should scare people because its not small fits of hysteria causing it, it is sustained calm belief in it fueling them, such that they think their role is to actually trigger it.

Interesting point. It seems like self-fulfilling doomsday prophecies are a common recurrence for all religious nutters. What is it with conservatives and their war, suffering and death fetishes?

Conservatives run on constantly being afraid of everything, there have been actual studies on the issue.

Just work as a contractor around civil servants, it's an endless stream of ironic complaining.

It's that 'ol self-sustaining corrupting symbiotic relationship between the Repub base and the politicians they voted into office whereby their politicians get them literally hooked on fear and hate like any habit forming drug and their base literally demanding more of the fear and hate their huckster politicos are mainlining into their hearts and minds.

Fear and hate the murdering rapist immigrants from south of the border, fear and hate the baby murderers, fear and hate the gays, fear and hate the brown skins and the yellow horde, fear and hate the Demoncrats who are full of those hated invaders that worship the wrong god..........

The GOP would not exist if not for their dividing the nation into haters and those they were indoctrinated to hate and fear.

Socialism comes in many forms, and many socialists are just in denial.
