I hope she can transform the current doing nothing actions on the environment with some of her ideas. About her not being selfish, you're putting a lot of faith into a newly minted politician. She may have that vaile, but let her get banged up a bit in the political machine that's been churning on it's own since We The People.

Those aren't my values, but how does she plan to attain them when she just chased away 2 parts of her plan in Amazon? They were going to provide needed jobs and they could have funded her drain the rich, feed the poor philosophy.

I'd support free health care.

I don't get though how you guys hate Trump because he's 'blindly' followed, but you love that Ocasio Cortez wants to be 'blindly' followed.

again, AOC had nothing to do with Amazon and NYC--she merely made a public statement in response to what had already happened. lol--why does a particular demographic refuse to accept her lack of involvement in that? Where is this godawful information coming from? Why absorb such terrible information in such an uncritical way?

AOC doesn't appear to want to be blindly followed--not sure where that is coming from, either. I do think she's certainly quite naive, but she's pretty clearly gunning for the type of egalitarian reforms that this country needs, unlike the orange incest turnip in the white house. Funnily enough, despite being the youngest, least-experienced rep in the room at the Cohen hearing on Wednesday, she was BY FAR the most adult, effective, anti-grandstanding committee member that was laser focused on the task at hand. It was actually an awesome thing to watch if you haven't seen it.

Let's just start to write down how many times she references her own name, whenever she opens her mouth or tweets, and compare that count to the one for Orange Julius.

So ICE shouldn't be altered about an illegal alien applying to purchase a firearm?

How would the clerk know they're illegal rather than just a tourist? Neither can legally buy guns, anyway.

It's def the kind of stupid shit you'd fall for. It's a murdering Mexican rapist kinda thing.

Be afraid, ya stupid twits. Very afraid.

Sounds like she is going to have her political officers throw those dissent democrats into the gulags. I wonder if the next issue of the AOC comic books will have her rounding up those moderate dems and banishing them? Anybody still voting Dem at this point gets what's coming to you. Maybe AOC will force those moderates to wear identifying markings on their clothes?
If Democrats are in danger of moving that way, Republicans have already arrived there and become a criminal organization. You are seeing what you have already become. You are a blind cult follower.

I would guess that data would come back as part of the background check results?

If you're the ring leader making public gatherings where you are outspokenly advocating against Amazon then that certainly isn't helping the public perception, no?

That is ultimately why Amazon took their ball in left - it wasn't from the local congressmen, it was her forming groups to advocate against it.

Common good vs personal ego/greed.
Pretty easy decision to make

However AOC does need to learn a bit more. I’m confident she’ll handle it.

She is just part of the ever growing progressive block that will be changing the face of the dem party in the next decade or 2. Taking the dem party where it’s been avoiding going for along time. Bring it on.

And just what were these groups that you claim she formed?

You just keep on pushing those talking points bunky.

"Cuomo singled out the state Senate for playing a leading role in killing the deal, because it nominated an outspoken critic of the Amazon incentives package to a state board where he would have effectively been able to veto it."

There is zero reason why dems should vote with GOP who are basically servants of rich donors.

So I support AOC and want her to keep going to unify the democrats.

It's good to see Pelosi recognize the new generation is here and you will not win if you alienate them. Baby Boomers are dying. Millenials and Gen X'ers and their viewpoints are the future.
It’s not the Boomer’s that broke ranks. Many of the moderate Democrat freshmen broke ranks, to include Conor Lamb. When you run moderate candidates in purple districts that share some values with the opposition, they will occasionally break ranks.

Also, GenX are not lock step with Millennials.

Few have the ID necessary to attempt a background test.
Yeah, I don't know, it seems kind of like a "feel good" measure. Not sure what these checks consist of, or what kind of IDs someone that's overstayed their visa would have.

Dealing with him is an application of Brandolini's Law. Some source he trusts slipped that bullshit right into his mind & now he believes it. His basic attitudes & beliefs dictate that he will always be highly susceptible. We all are, to one degree or another.

Con artists & propagandists depend upon it.

Illegals are the GOP's current boogie man, ot at least one of them. I mean, you don't want any of those disease ridden dope smuggling MS13 Mexican rapists getting a gun, do you? We've got to stop them!

Or we could just report to ICE the ones trying to purchase guns.

Some of us realize that the refrain vote blue no matter who has led the Democratic Party to a legacy of losses in state houses across the country in any state that is not a solid blue state like CA or NY

Maybe we can start to correct that with the likes of AOC, Rho Khanna and the other more progressive members of Congress

Always with the negativity. Why does it have to be us vs them within the Party? Dems made substantial gains in state govts in the midterms.
