***EDIT: I have confirmed that the monitor was shipped out and I was charged $630.36! Gluck to all!***

$630 shipped for me
25% off preferred dell account
plus the current 20% off

It came out to $600 flat w/o tax but with tax it came out to $630

I had to call to make this happen because online they dont stack

EDIT: Guys its really simple get the 25% off for dell preferred account and talk to the clerk! Let them know that its already 20% off online. I actually talked to two different people and they both let me have it so I dont think it was a coincidence. YMMV so gluck guys!!!!

If you guys are having problems with the clerk, you can PM me and Ill give you the extension to the person that I talked to.

Also if you dont want to go through the trouble you can also get a descent deal online. You can find a $25 off $999 Coupon for Preferred Accounts and Add on one of those $35 off $300 coupons from ebay. Combine those with the 25% off coupon and you have it for <$700. Hope that helps.

meh, honestly guys, if you just call a rep and bargin, they will cut you a deal, I actually bought about one hundred of these over the last year, and I was paying more then that, around 680, but then again, they were going for 1100 retail then...

yeah you bought a hundred! that's why!
1100 price, they probably cost 600 for dell. so the normal sales, dell make 500 bucks a monitor. in your case, buying 100 monitor = 80x100 = 8000 dollar profit for them

you win, dell wins (like they'd ever do business that loses money)

I'm logging in with my preferred, and I'm getting $748. Do you have a link, or more details of how to get this price?

dell would somewhat lose money if people dont buy software...

Most computer manufacturers even retailers make little to no profit on systems. all the money is made on accessories and bundled software.

Selling $1 cords and adapters for $30-$50

buying a 100 units may give you some pull... but they won't sell one to me for less than 25% off of list (list = $999, so $~750 best price), rather than 25% off the current sale price (even though the coupon only lists only "not combinable with other coupons" and says nothing about list rather than sale price.

I tried twice, using my best phone skills.

"thats the lowest price we have ever sold this monitor for"

DEAD.
