The Dell 2000FP is a work of art. Absolutely no ghosting. An incredibly beautiful monitor.

As for Dell's shipping policies: Ditto. They are incredibly unpredictable, but it has been my experience that generally it works out in your favor. I usually select ground shipping, and my orders usually are shipped via Next Day. The online tracking system is NEVER up to date... I have placed several orders and received them the next day, even when the online system says "not yet shipped."

I completey agree. Except for I have the Dell 1900FP and even convinced my roommate to buy one, even talked him into using my eBates account to get the 2%

Dell's shipping/inventory system is incredibly unpredictable, DO NOT BELIEVE IT! Mine said it would ship 3 weeks after placing the order, the LCD arrived 10 days after I ordered it.

Yah I think it boiled down to "The 1900FP has a much cooler bezel". I have to agree on that one If you ever plan on going 2 LCD's, the 1900FP's bezel is much thinner than any other 19'' LCD. Schnieds had both the Planar and 1900FP and ultimately sent the Planar back. He gave a pretty detailed review in the Video forum.

As for the Dell vs. Planar LCD debate, I would strongly recommend reading this excellent Dell vs Planar LCD thread and this previous 1900FP Hot Deals thread which are chocked full of useful info.

Personally I chose the 1900FP and love it. Just wish I had waited so I could have paid $652 instead of $694

I'd also like to add that the Dell 1900FP appears to be a rebadged Samsung 191T.

AND the Dell 1900FP comes with a 3 year limited warranty. I had to use Dell's warranty on a Dell P991 FD Trinitron CRT which died on me 2 years into the 3 year warranty, they Airborne Express'd a new monitor and I sent back the broken one all for FREE!

Yeah, I have the exact same question. I purchased the 1900FP using the $35 off coupon, and called them to see if I could do anything about the $45 off coupon. They said you need to cancel the order and re-order the LCD again. I would have done that had the order not already been shipped this morning!*!*!*! So if any of you know how I can go about adding that $45 off coupon without cancelling, your insite would be gladly appreciated.
