First hot deal post, please be kind, or don't

YMMV cause it's a clearance item (wen't on clearance today...my store was wiped clean as I was picking up 2)

Local Albuquerque, NM Walmart
Lightning Audio - Fast & Furious Amp, Speaker, Wires kit

Includes
* 450Watt Max power AMP, model FF150.2 (2 channel x 150W...dunno how they can get 450 out of it, but it's advertised on the box)
* 10" Subwoofer (500W max power...the whole "max" thing might be what they do with cdroms, like 24x Max Speed)
* Comes with bonus wiring kit

Can't find this kit online anywhere, it might be a Wally special only. Found AMP alone for $130ish online.

Says it was $159 on the sticker
Great starter kinda Kit!

Hope it's true elsewhere, enjoy!

YMMV for sure on this. Nice deal but clearance prices for walmart are decided at store level and not from corporate:)

dammit I already have two of those Bazooka subwoofers just sitting around from way back when...

This would be a good deal to upgrade my next ride's sound system heh(my last car got totalled =( and I never installed my Bazookas).

I figure it might be because 2Fast 2Furious is out and they want to clear stuff from the first movie. But yeah, definitely YMMV, worth a trot down to the car audio section next time you're at Wallyville though.

Walmart clearance stuff is a BIG YMMV. My local WM has an old Tivo 14 hour unit with about 2" of dust on it...I've been watching it for a year now, waiting for it to drop to $25 or so. It still rings up at $249 and the electronics "manager" won't budge on the price. He does not even know what a Tivo is.

I know what you mean; when some Wally Worlds were marking the KDS Radius 15" LCD monitor down to $225 a year ago, our store kept 'em at $375. So they sat. And sat. And sat. And accumulated about three inches of dust. They marked them down to $348 last fall(woohoo, don't work too hard on moving the inventory), and they still sat. They finally sold them at Christmas for $348. Hope some manager was pleased with himself. :frown:

Wal mart Clearence is set at store level. Each manager gets a certain number of "Clearence" dollars.

The good news is july is a big CLEARENCE month for Walmart so we should see some decent deals if your local department manager is smart.

I saw a pny Verto GeForce2 MX400 PCI 64MB SDRAM on clearance for 74.00 at my walmart.

I saw the box and thought "Wow could be a decent deal" but 74.00 is kinda weak.

Great info. Thanks for passing it along! The big unknown is how smart our electronics mgr. is, and he's not looking too promising ... ;)
