hi,
I setup a hotspot with mikrotik rb2011, 4 access point are connected to the hotspot: one ubiquiti nano beam, two ubiquiti rocket m2, one mikrotik rb 433. All the access points are working well except the mikrotik rb 433.
Configurations:
MikroTik RB2011: eth1-wan:41.203.80.178/29, eth3-lan:192.168.1.3/24, bridge1: 192.168.1.4/24 for hotspot.
The MikroTik RB2011 is connected to D-Link (unmanaged) switch. The 4 access points are connected to the D-Link. 3 of them are working fine, but the MikroTik RB433 which is suppose to be the strongest access point is not working well. It broadcasts extremely low signal.
Access Points Configs:
1st Rocket M2: Static IP: 192.168.20.2/24
2nd Rocket M2: Static IP: 192.168.20.3/24
Nano Beam: Static IP: 192.168.20.4/24

MikroTik RB433: eth1: 192.168.20.6/24, bridge1: 192.168.20.5/24, bridged ports: eth1, wlan1, wlan2, wlan3; no dhcp since RB2011 is negotiating dhcp
one can still connect to wlan1 with the extreme low signal though, but no one device can connect to wlan2 and wlan3

Plesae see network layout attached.
Thanks in anticipation
Regards

JackMDS is the wireless expert here. I'm not. Maybe he can give you some advice.

You can use search function to search a member.

If you hover the mouse over a member's profile avatar, you will see a Start conversation link. But since you are a new member, you probably can't use the feature yet.

JackMDS is one of the moderators, I think he will see your post.

The RB 433 is a "Strange Bird", it is actually a Router.

It might be that there is something in its configuration that creates the problem.

I am not functionally familiar with it.

Assuming that the hardware in it is working OK.

If you need it for Hotspot Isolation you have to configure post its Routing to a different IP subnet.

If you just need it as a 4th Access Point! I would use an addtional Rocket AP.

BTW, AFAIK the RB433 WIFI is based on a Laptop type PCIe cards that their output is around ~40mW. In contrast the Rockets go up to few hundreds mW.

Thanks for the attention given to my post. The RB433 with 3 wlans is actually a 4th access point functioning as 'ap bridge' and was working quite well. It extended the HotSpot radius to almost 1000 meters. Just that I do not know why it all of a sudden can no longer even be seen even at 20 meters. I brought it down and checked the hardware, there is no problem.
Once more thank you.
