Hotmail/Yahoo Mail problems

Since midday yesterday, I haven't been able to see my Hotmail or Yahoo mail. I'm not the only one having this problem - my friend who also has Charter in town can't either. Have tried on 4 different computers (including his) and it just stalls. It happens when I try to post/login on a few other random sites too, like Wincustomize for example. We live in Winona, MN. Everything else works fine, speed is fine, etc. I've renewed my IP, refreshed the modem and router, turned off firewalls, everything. Any ideas? If this is the wrong place to post, I apologize.
