Hotmail quirk

When I check the box next to any message in Hotmail, there's usually a delay before the check shows up. I checked System Monitor and 100% of the CPU is being used during this time. Some of you guys with new processors might not notice this (I'm using a Celeron 466) but I've noticed this delay with other computers as well. Hotmail's checkboxes used to not be like this. Any thoughts as to what's going on?

I have 3 accounts with hotmail and for one of them I get a delay. I think it has to do with how big the account is cuz i have lots of emails in that one and in the other 2 have have less emails in them and no delay.
