they upgraded my wife's account, she rarely uses that account too, me on the other hand, my hotmail inbox gets full all the time, still no upgrade yet. I think they only upgrade those that don't really need the extra space.

Yes. Upgraded just 2 days ago. Had account since '95. I'm in Canada, but when I created the account, I said I was in the US.

Now I'm just waiting for my Sympatico (partnered with MSN) account to get upgraded to 2GB.

None of my 3 accounts have been upgraded yet, the oldest one being 7+ years old.

Had to clean and backup my email from my primary account yesterday, I was at 85% full.

me too, the funny thing is that my mail box was 98% full and i didn't have time to clear it. Hotmail sent me the storage critical e-mail and I still ignored yet, then yesterday morning when I woke up, BAM..250MB!!!

i think hotmail gauges your box size, if you always keep it very empty, they think you don't really need 250MB, that is my take
